一、介系詞不能拆開，當動詞用
1. watch out 小心
Watch out! There's a car coming.
小心!有車子來了。

2. shut up 閉嘴
Will you please shut up?
拜託你閉嘴好嗎?

3. show up 出現
Jason promised to come to the meeting,
but he never showed up.
傑森答應要來開會,但一直沒出現。

4. go off 響起
The alarm clock went off while I was
having a sweet dream.
我好夢正甜時,鬧鐘就響了。

5. calm down 冷靜
Calm down. I'll help you go through all
this.冷靜點,我會幫你度過這一切。

6. hang out 在某地逗留或與某人相處

We should hang out together at the mall
sometime next week.

7. give up 放棄
Don't give up.不要放棄。

1. look up 查閱

3. call off 取消
They called off the game because of rain.
->They called it off because of rain.
他們因雨取消了這場比賽。

4. turn up/down 調大聲/調小聲

Turn down the volume.
->Turn it down.
把聲音調小一點。

5. turn on/off 打開/關閉

He turned on the light and started to read.
-> He turned the light on and started to read.
他開燈開始看書。

6. hand in 繳交
You have to hand in the paper on Monday.
->You have to hand the paper in on Monday.
請在星期一繳交報告。

7. put out 撲滅
The firefighter put out the fire within an
hour.
The firefighter put the fire out within
an hour.
消防人員在一小时內撲滅了火勢。

8. set off 點燃
They set off the fireworks.

9. turn down 拒絕

1. keep away from 遠離
