Thám hiểm không gian không ảnh hưởng nhiều đến đời sống hàng ngày của
từng người dân nhưng lại có ý nghĩa to lớn đối với cuộc sống của cả nhân loại.
- Nhà khoa học Stephen Hawking:
- “I believe that the long-term future of human race must be in space. It will be
difficult enough to avoid disaster on planet Earth in the next 100 years, let
alone next thousand, or million. The human race shouldn’t have all its eggs in
one blanket, or on one planet. Let’s hope we can avoid dropping the basket
until we have spread the load.”
- Tôi tin rằng tương lai lâu dài của loài người phải là cuộc sống trong không
gian. Trong 100 năm tới, sẽ rất khó tránh thảm họa trên trái đất, huống hồ là
một nghìn hay một triệu năm sau. Nhân loại không nên chỉ phụ thuộc vào cuộc
sống trên một hành tinh. Hãy hi vọng rằng chúng ta có thể sinh tồn trên hành
tinh này cho đến khi có thể sống ở hành tinh khác.
