LIFE
A. PPROPHET ELIJAH Elijah is faithful and a mighty
prophet during a turbulent time
in Israel's history. He stood up
in the defense of his God and
took a dramatic stand against
the worship of Baal.
B. PROPHET ELISHA Prophet Elisha also show great
signs and spoke out against the
worship of Baal and in defense
of his God, the God of the
covenant.
C. PROPHET AMOS He spoke out against the rich
and against social oppression,
injustices and exploitation.
D. PROPHET HOSEA Hosea had experienced a
personal tragedy in his life. He
had married a woman whom he
loved very much. But this
woman was a prostitute and was
unfaithful to him. Yet he loved
her deeply.Hosea too saw the
evil in his land, and spoke out
against it.
E. PROPOHET MICAH
Prophet Micah is a prophet who
spoke of punishment, but also
gave hope to his people.
F. PROPHET ISAIAH Isaiah was born in Jerusalem and
was well-educated and he he
experienced the holiness of God.
G. PROPHET JEREMIAH
Jeremiah was a very sensitive
man. He warned the people that

Elijah's words proclaim that
there is no reality except the
God of Israel, there are no other

divinity.
Unfaithfulness to God and

leads to difficulties.
His prophetic message was full
of images.He asserted God's
absolute sovereignty over man.
Prophet Hosea's message
brought comfort to those who
suffered, but discomfort to those
who were rich.
It was prophet Micah who
prophesied, But you Bethlehem
– Ephrathah, to small to be a
clan of Judah, from you shall
come forth…one who is to be a
ruler of Israel… his greatness
shall reach the ends of the earth.
Isaiah's prophecy is that it was
not enough simply to belong to
the people of God, one had to be
a faithful member of God’s
people.
Jeremiah had some words of
hope, The days are coming, says
the Lord, when I will make a new
