TO PREVENT ANY POTENTIAL DAMAGE FROM ANTI STATIC ELECTRICITY, YOU SHOULD DISCHARGE
YOURSELF FIRST. THIS CAN BE DONE BY TOUCHING A GROUNDED METAL OBJECT - SUCH AS A RADIATOR.
STEP 1
Make sure the computer is powered off and unplug every cable from the back of your
computer, making a note of which cable goes where.
STEP 2
Remove the outer casing. This is usually done by removing the screws that hold it in place.
STEP 3
Locate the currently installed memory modules, if in doubt, please consult your user
manual.
STEP 4
If you are replacing existing memory, gently pull the clips away from the memory modules
until it clicks out of place. Gently lift and pull the module out of the slot.
STEP 5
If you are installing memory into an empty slot, simply pull the clips apart ready to clip the
new module into place.
