AUTOPILOT - TROUBLESHOOTING
1. General
A. The procedures in this section provide for troubleshooting autopilot control problems.
2. Troubleshooting
A. Refer to the troubleshooting charts ( Figure 101) provided in this section and the Avionics Wiring Diagrams provided with
the airplane to troubleshoot indicated problems.
B. As an aid to troubleshooting, simulate in air autopilot problems on the ground by attaching a pitot static test set to the
airplane, increasing pitot pressure to an indicated airspeed of over 100 knots with altitude maintained at field elevation.
Operate controls with autopilot engaged and hydraulic power applied.
NOTE: Applying hydraulic pressure by means of an auxiliary hydraulic power unit may not always
demonstrate the same roll oscillation characteristics as applying hydraulic pressure by the engine
driven hydraulic pumps.
