集合先进技术于一体的元宇宙看起来是一头巨型缝合怪，但这并不意味着它没
有灵魂。
The metaverse seems to be a giant monster pieced together from a wide
range of advanced technologies, but this doesn’t mean that it lacks soul.
Metaverse combined with advanced technology represents a giant combination, which
doesn’t mean it is soulless.

从各种意义上，移动互联网像是现实世界虚拟化的半成品，人类参与其中的很
多方式是非自然的：我们购买的数字商品只能在开发者规定的场景下使用，我
们的社交方式是向服务器发送请求集中处理而非直接一对一，我们鲜少为使用
的数字服务付费却不知情地出卖了信息价值作为补偿。
In many ways, the mobile internet is a semi-finished product of the
virtualization of the real world, and many of the ways people engage in the
mobile internet are unnatural. For example, the digital products we purchase
can only be used in certain scenarios specified by the developers; in
communicating with others, we send requests to servers responsible for the
centralized processing of information, rather than carry on a one-on-one
conversation. In addition, we sell our information unwittingly for the digital
services that we use but seldom pay for.  
In every sense, mobile internet is seemingly a virtual semi-finished product in real
world, in which human being engaged with unnatural ways: the digital products we
purchase can be used under the circumstance regulated by developers. Our social
methods are processed via sending requirements to server rather than direct one-on-
one. We barely pay for the used digital service but betray the information value under
uninformed situation.
元宇宙将有望改变上述种种非自然语境，以永续性、高度可互操作性以及完整
经济系统为主要特征，塑造不受巨头控制、任何人都能参与并体现价值的平行
虚拟世界，全面唤醒数字经济的增长潜力。元宇宙的灵魂也恰在于此，以现实
世界的高度数字仿真赋予每个人人生的主宰感，克服人类最深层对于自身“存
在”的恐惧，进而超脱其外，指导真实世界的发展轨迹。
The metaverse promises to change the unnatural contexts mentioned
above. Featuring sustainability, high interoperability and a complete
economic system, it can shape a parallel virtual world freed from the
control of internet giants and open to all individuals who thus can prove
their value, and at the same time unleash the full growth potential of the
digital economy. That is the very soul of the metaverse. The virtual
space gives everyone a sense of master of life through the digital
simulation of the real world and enables them to overcome their most
fundamental fear of their own “existence”. Freed from the constraints of
the real life, it is in a good position to provide guidance on the
development trajectory of the real world. 
Metaverse is expected to change those unnatural circumstance above, with major
characteristics, such as perpetual, highly processable and complete economic systems.
Parallel virtual world will be created out of the control of giant and be participated in
by anyone who intends to showcase their value so as to arouse the growth potential of
digital economy. The soul of metaverse remains with highly digital simulation in real
world empowering domination of life for everyone. It overcomes the existing fear of
human and provides the development path of real world.
值得深思的是，现有技术与处境似乎无法解决元宇宙如何缝合、由谁缝合的问
题。虽然区块链技术能通过激励机制大规模地限制违规操作、促成业务创新，
但机制本身仍需中心化的人来设计。在没有更高阶的技术出现之前，元宇宙的
去中心化程度、匿名性乃至可互操作性的边界都可能长久无法确定，从而使其
定格在一个乌托邦理想。最终，我们仍需寄希望于基础科学的底层突破，让元
宇宙从理想走进现实，真正落地为有灵魂的缝合怪。
