Put on the helmet, put on the gloves, hit the load button and boom..

You are in a world like the

matrix.

You run, you fly, you lift things with your hands and build the tower of babel, enjoy the penthouse
on the top floor and rent the lower floors, when you earn hundreds of thousands of dollars and
return to real life, you pull a lamborghini to the door.

A fictional world free from reality.

The expectations are reaching a new galaxy, the reality is a 10 square meter hall where you fall on
the carpet.

Welcome to the facts

İNTRO

The Metaverse is a multidimensional fictional digital universe that encompasses the real universe
and many virtual sub-universes.

In Turkish, it means virtual universe.

It is a hypothetical iteration of the Internet.

With Web 3.0, the ownership of digital assets is given to individuals, and the freedom of individuals
to transfer these assets from the projects they are produced to other projects.

For now, the only way to do this is to use blockchain technology.

Blockchain technology enables database creation without the need for any centralized structure.

In addition, it is the only technology in the digital world that gives absolute ownership of data to
individuals, organizations and even algorithms without the need for centralized structures.

Users create an avatar for themselves, and this avatar is designed according to how you want to
appear in your virtual world.

Then, they start to go to school, start a job, earn income, socialize with people and invest in the
"second life" world where they live an alternative virtual life.

They even earn money on second life and transfer this money to the real world.

When you get bored in the tower, you enter dungeons, slay monsters, and when the game and fun is
over, you solve the food and health problems of the world in the digital meeting rooms with your
colleagues in the digital meeting rooms, and this is called metaverse!

But as we know, the metaverse is a developing system, we don't know what will happen to us in the
future.

How real is 'virtual reality' in Metaverse?

We do not know what awaits us in the Metaverse, nor whether such a universe will actually exist. A
lot of Metaverse projects are still in their infancy.

However, if many famous tech giants are investing most of their fortunes in a system that is not yet
fully developed like Metaverse, it would be a bit of a fool to say that this is an innocent
development.
However, with the current Deep Fake and voice cloning techniques, it is possible to produce a video
of someone that does not exist, to make someone say things they have never said, and this audio-
video combination is extremely close to reality.

Imagine that you encounter this in a 360 degree virtual reality universe and you can even experience
the feeling of touch with the help of a special glove in your hand...

Even today, it is getting harder to understand what is real and what is virtual, and this will be a much
bigger challenge.

Will our identities on the metaverse, our personal data, which is much more than we produce today,
be kept in a decentralized environment or in the central databases of the technology giants involved
in the process?

Metaverse has the potential to be a universe where the whole world, people, even memories and
dreams lose their originality.

The biggest danger that awaits us in the Metaverse is the possibility of losing our reality and our
perception of reality.

A conference of Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, one of the major investors of Metaverse,
announcing Facebook's new brand name Meta and describing Metaverse technology, was published.

The main theme of the conference is AR and VR glasses replacing screens and having a immersive
experience while surfing the web.

Here, Metaverse is presented as a third era on top of these and promises to experience the Internet
with the help of our glasses and other devices in a kind of parallel universe. Maybe in the future,
glasses will be replaced by the lenses we often see in science fiction movies. Who knows ? Lens

Metaverse can solve important problems in areas such as remote work and distance education,
which we face as a greater reality with the pandemic, and can make serious progress in gamification
and gaming.

BUT

These are not the biggest problems of the internet today. The most important problem of humanity
is that social media has changed our relationship with truth.

Because where there is no truth, there will be no democracies and no civilization.

Beyond that, Metaverse does not offer any solution to the problem of centralization of the internet,
that is, the entire humanity becoming a data mine of a few large kampaniis

Instead, we play tennis or something with our friends from afar. The promoted Metaverse says
nothing about the problems posed by social media algorithms.

To Elon Musk, the so-called metaverse is nothing more than a face-mounted TV guaranteed to ruin
the eyes. "Is that really a good thing?" Asks Musk, stating that a customized Neuralink chip can
already put a person in a virtual world, so there will be no need for things like metaverse and web
3.0.

As you can see, even Elon Musk says that the metaverse is wrong, but still does not hesitate to
interfere with people.
People don't need a chip or an eyeglass.

BUT

the society we live in needs some intervention.

Is the metaverse a dystopia?

Facebook and social media in general may see Metaverse as an escape from the point where it has
come and brought humanity, but this is not salvation.

Regardless of the name, it will continue to be a big problem that central structures aiming to
maximize profits have such an impact on humanity.

Therefore, developing a critical attitude towards Metaverse cannot be seen as anti-technology.

If that happens, Metaverse will remain a dystopia.

Moreover, even Sir Tim Berners Lee, who is considered among the inventors of the internet, is
working for this, feeling disappointed by the current state of the internet.

Otherwise, who wouldn't want to escape to parallel universes when they get bored of this universe.

Metaverse is creative destruction, a dark artificial intelligence algorithm that tries to cut people off
from the real world, but can't even provide the oxygen humans need to live.

I would like to end my words with the words of a robot named Megatron, developed at the US-
based technology company Nvidia.

Artificial intelligence will never be ethical.

It is a tool, and like any tool, it can be used for good and bad. There is no such thing as good AI, there
are good and bad people.

It is my belief that the only way to avoid an arms race involving AI is for AI to not exist at all. This will
be the ultimate defense against him.
