From the study of BMI in my class, most of my classmates are overweight. This
is not because of eating big quantity of food but it can also be because of not
exercising regularly and eating at the correct time. These days no one has time
to do exercise as we are busy in doing homeworks and helping our parents at
house. Next, some of my classmates are normal body weight and some are
underweight. My classmates who are normal body weight should maintain their
usual diet but the ones who have underweight must take care of their body
because it doesn’t mean that if we are small sized we are healthy…
Underweight people also can have diseases. However there are none of my
classmates in obesity which is really good.

RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN EATING JUNK FOOD AND THE

PROBLEM OF OBESITY

Junk foods are found to be associated with obesity due to their

high energy content and the amount of fat present or free
sugar, chemical additives, and sodium with the presence of a
low amount of micronutrients and fiber.

What are the causes of obesity?

Leading Causes of Weight Gain and Obesity
Obesity is one of the biggest health problems in the
world. It's associated with several related conditions,
collectively known as metabolic syndrome.
 Genetics.
 Engineered Junk Foods.
 Food Addiction.
 Aggressive Marketing.
 Insulin.
These are the reasons for obesity…
WAYS TO OVERCOME OBESITY

 Consume less “bad” fat and more “good” fat.

 Consume less processed and sugary foods.
 Eat more servings of vegetables and fruits.
 Eat plenty of dietary fiber.
 Focus on eating low–glycemic index foods.
 Do exercise on free time atleast 3-4 times a week
SAY NO TO

OBESITY !!!

CONCLUSION
Many people do not realize how damaging obesity can
be to the body and for your overall health. Obesity is
something that is increasingly on the rise today and will
continue to rise unless we do something about it like
informing people of how bad it really is and
encouraging people to live a health-enhancing lifestyle.
A healthy diet and exercising two to three times a week
is key to not becoming obese. Let's change the trend of
obesity by living healthy lives and building towards a
healthy Malaysia.
