SUBJECT : BIOAMP PROPOSAL FOR 3M HATCHERY Inc.

PROPOSAL

This proposal has been developed specifically for 3M HATCHERY Inc. for parameter reduction of ammonia
and aerobic bacteria propagation for your wastewater treatment plant.

It is proposed that ONE (1) Bio-Amp Stainless Steel unit/s be installed and will dose at the MBBR (Moving
Bed Biofilm Reactor) and shall dispense at 1:00 A.M daily. The Bio-Amp unit/s will dose every 24 hours
thereafter, 7 days per week. This proposal will describe the equipment and product to be used and the
benefits that the customer can expect to gain from using the system. The Bio-Amp System is an advanced,
innovative and patented on-site bacteria fermentation process that produces 30 trillion active and
vegetative bacteria that are hungry and ready to decompose waste. The Bio-Amp system eliminates the 4-8
hour growth lag of ordinary bacteria products and provide a safe, cost-effective biological treatment to
your system.

CUSTOMER BENEFITS:
 Significant impact in reducing Biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), Fats, Oil and Grease (FOG), Total
Suspended Solids (TSS), Color, Nitrate & Ammonia to comply with DENR DAO 2021-19 standards;
 Significant impact in foul odor reduction;
 Forms very minimal excess sludge which will yield reduction in third party hauling and off-site
treatment cost – added cost savings.

RECOMMENDATION
In order to meet the DENR standard parameters we need to strictly follow these recommendations:

1. Customer must maintain optimal pH level of influent to 6.5 to 8.5;

2. Provide a copy of your latest results of laboratory analysis (ROLA) – basis for BioAmp reduction;
3. Daily Monitoring of critical parameters such as DO, pH, TSS, Temperature and sludge volume;
4. Installation of One (1) Unit/s BioAmp™ STAINLESS STEEL with water pressure 35 psi and electrical
source;
5. After installation of Bio-amp, WWTP must be fed with waste gradually until we attain enough
activated sludge in the system.
6. Regular collection and removal of scum, sludge and dirt in the system.

BACKGROUND

Extensive research and engineering development conducted by NCH Corporation has resulted in a
patented, onsite fermentation technology. This system generates and delivers 3 x 10 13 vegetative bacterial
cells every 24 hours, allowing effective and economical treatment of wastewater systems. The Bio-Amp®
delivers the equivalent of 25-50 lbs. of commercially available dry bacterial bran powder every 24 hours.
This is accomplished at a cost of less than 10% of comparable quantities of dry powder.

The Bio-Amp® growth vessel is charged daily with water and tablets that contain nutrients and bacterial
inoculants. These bacterial strains have been selected for their ability to catabolize starches, proteins,
sugars, hydrocarbons, animal fats, cooking greases and oils. Air is supplied continuously to the growth
vessel to support aerobic bacterial generation, while dissolved oxygen is maintained within the vessel. The
bacteria grow and reproduce as they are continuously re-circulated via a pump, which injects the liquid
culture at a tangentially directed flow into the growth vessel. It is this tangential flow that creates a vortex
and suppresses foaming. At the end of the 24-hour growth cycle, the highly concentrated bacteria are
automatically discharged to a desired location. Once the growth vessel is emptied, the process is repeated.

Microbiology of Free-FlowTM

Free-FlowTM has been specifically formulated with organisms selected for their high production of enzymes
critical to degrading all components of the food production, processing and preparation waste stream
paying particular attention to microbes that are efficient in the metabolism of extra-cellular fatty acids
(Pseudomonas). Without significant numbers of these microbes, other biological treatments create high
levels of fatty acids lowering pH and reducing the activity of the microbes or killing them. Our
Microbiologists have provided the right microbes to completely address problem accumulations of grease.
The information below represents the genus species and CAS numbers for the microbes included in Free-
FlowTM.

When utilized in the Bio-Amp System, the microbes in Free-Flow TM are fermented automatically on site
increasing the number of microbes in the small daily dose of Free-Flow TM to approximately 31 trillion (90%
Pseudomonas). The additional 10% of the daily dose include facultative anaerobic Bacillus organisms that
are available for degrading organic solids without available oxygen.

Frequency of Dosage

In addition to the limitations resulting from poor selection of microbes, many biological treatments do not
deliver adequate performance due to impractical or costly applications. Normal operating procedures in
food production, processing or preparation can be very detrimental to the biological system employed.
Use of extremely hot water, detergents, disinfectants, etc. in the normal cleaning activities can significantly
reduce the active number of microbes or kill them entirely. Any biological system that fails to compensate
for this normal activity will fail therefore daily application is necessary to maximize the efficacy.

Even biological treatment systems that apply microbes on a daily basis have significant limitations due to
inadequate dosing (the sheer numbers of organisms applied). Some biological treatment systems apply
microbes daily or continuously, but are applying only ounces per day. The total amount of microbes is
limited and unable to sustain high populations.

What’s in It For You (WIIFY) – The BioAMP Advantage

 Allows oil and grease reduction through specific strains of live, hungry bacteria to help speed up
degradation, including other organic wastes;

 Reduce sludge volume and help lessen hauling and transportation costs;

 Improve treatment efficiency at your WWTP or STP and allow for uninterrupted production schedules
without worry of overloading/ inefficient treatment during peak production load;

 Reduce maintenance costs – automatic dosing of Freeflow bacteria can allow your maintenance
personnel to prioritize other tasks as no manual intervention is required.

 Environmentally sustainable approach to improving your wastewater effluent quality without harming
the animals or the environment – NSF certified bacteria is safe for use in and around food processing
areas.
