A: Hello, Ruby.
R: Hi, Abigail. How are you?
A: I'm worried.
R: Why are you worried?
A: I don't know what to give Maria for her birthday.
R: true. Her birthday is on Monday.
A: Yes, I want to give her a special gift, but I have no idea what she would like.
R: Well, I have a suggestion for your gift.
A: seriously? Can you help me find something? You are her best friend, surely you know her tastes.
R: Sure, I'll be happy to help you find the perfect gift.
A: Thank you so much! So what do you know about what she likes?
R: Well, one of the things that Maria loves is food.
A: Oh yeah. But I don't know what kind of food to choose.
R: Maria really enjoys Italian food. She loves pastas, pizzas and risottos. She also really likes Mexican food,
especially tacos and enchiladas.
A: And is there anything she hates or doesn't like at all?
R: Maria really hates shellfish. She doesn't like the taste or texture of seafood.
R: I have an idea. What do you think if we prepare a homemade Italian dinner for her and for dessert we make
her some delicious churros?
A: That sounds great! I'm sure she will love the combination. We will avoid shellfish so that she can fully
enjoy dinner.
A: Perfect, I think that will be a very special gift. Thanks for your help, Ruby!
