EASYDOSE G2 INTRODUCTION
SAFETY NOTES
This system is equipped with special devices and alarms to permit continuous
safe operation. However, it is possible that individuals may at some time
encounter liquid nitrogen in the open.
The user should be aware that liquid nitrogen has the following properties:
Clear
Colorless
Non-flammable
Extremely cold (-320F, -195C)
Will freeze skin on contact
May cause severe burns on contact
Extreme care must be taken to avoid liquid nitrogen splashing on clothing, into
shoes, or even into gloves.
Pressure relief valves are provided in critical zones to avoid damage from
excessive pressure build-up in confined areas. If additional plumbing is added,
include safety relief valves where needed.

STARTUP PROCEDURE
1) Ensure all LN2 and vacuum connections are mounted/installed per the “INSTALLATION & MOUNTING” section.
2) Turn on power switch to control panel.
3) Enter parameters as outlined in “CONTROLLER SETTINGS”.
4) Open LN2 supply valve.
5) Allow Easydoser to fill with LN2.
6) Turn “Dosing” to “ON”
7) Begin conveying containers under the Easydoser. Observe for proper synchronization of the dose into the container.

WARM-UP/PURGE PROCEDURE
1) Close liquid nitrogen supply valve
2) From the “Main Menu”, turn “Dosing” to “OFF”
3) Drain the Easydoser reservoir completely by pressing the “Drain” button on the home screen. Liquid Nitrogen will
drain through the nozzle for 6 minutes unless “Drain” is pressed again, ceasing the drain function. If one 6-minute
drain cycle does not empty the Easydoser, press “Drain” again to start a second 6-minute cycle.
4) Remove safety relief valve and attach dry nitrogen gas regulated to 10-40 psig (0.69-2.74 bar). Verify that purge
supply valve is open for 8 hours.
5) Close purge supply valve, remove regulated gas, and replace safety relief valve.
6) Remove the heater block with 3mm hex key (P/N 48070)
7) Remove the nozzle with 3/8” wrench (P/N 36296) and inspect nozzle to ensure that it is clean and dry. Replace
immediately with new nozzle, torque to 100 in/lb (11.3 Nm)
8) Re-attach heater block

TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
SYMPTOM D: Ice or frost on vent of EASYDOSER
POSSIBLE CAUSE ACTION
1. Vent heater not operating 1. Ensure heater is properly connected. Check for 24VDC at
heater. If 24VDC not present check wiring to control panel. Check
resistance of heater, if not approximately 26 ohms replace heater.
See wiring diagram.

SYMPTOM I. Programmable controller alarms/error messages
PROBLEM ACTION
1. Control panel reads: “Dosing Off” 1. On Home Screen, set “Dosing” to “ON”
5. Control panel reads: “Dose duration too long” 5. Reduce dose duration. See “EASYDOSE G2
OPERATION” section. Use larger size nozzle if
needed. Consult VBC
6. Control panel reads: “Dose duration too 6. Increase dose duration. See “EASYDOSE G2
short” OPERATION” section. Use smaller size nozzle if
needed. Note: minimum dose duration below
EASYDOSE G2 PLUS: 6 ms
EASYDOSE G2 STD: 25 ms
7. Control panel reads: “Offset distance too 7. Increase offset distance. See “EASYDOSE G2
short” OPERATION” section. Ensure “Timing Sensor” is
positioned correctly according to the EASYDOSE
G2 INSTALLATION & MOUNTING schematic
8. Control panel reads: “Service dosing valve” 8. Replace dosing valve solenoid (VBC P/N:
58707 OR 59707) & dosing valve stem (VBC P/N:
47319). Reset counter after valve has been
replaced(See “EASYDOSE G2 OPERATION”
section)
9. Control panel reads: “No active nodes found 9. Ensure data cable from PLC to touch screen is
on network”, “connector disconnected”, “Error properly connected inside control console.
612” or “####” on touch screen See wiring diagram.
11. Check encoder signal 11. Alarm is triggered if no encoder signal is
detected. Check encoder connection. See wiring
diagram.
12. Control panel reads: “Fixed Speed Dosing 12. Lower line speed below steady stream
Inhibited, Line Speed too High!” switchover value or increase steady stream switch
over value.

EASYDOSE G2 MAINTENANCE
ROUTINE PROCEDURES
Prior to each use: Removed and inspect heater block. For best results, remove heater block when
the dosing unit is warm. If necessary, clean block surfaces as deemed
appropriate.
25 Million Cycles: Remove and check valve stem, gland seal and operator ass’y for wear.
Lubricate shaft of valve operator with Dow 111 (VBC P/N 58590).
Bearing should slide freely over shaft of valve operator.
(See re-lubrication procedure)
50 Million Cycles: “SERVICE DOSING VALVE” message appears on touch screen. Replace
dosing valve solenoid (VBC P/N: 58707 OR 59707) & dosing valve stem
(VBC P/N: 47319). Reset counter in Advanced Settings menu after valve has
been replaced.
