ARCHITECTURE TYPE

Is a building that has been

built for Piura and in Piura. It
is a structure that speaks with
the desert, its colors are
earth-colored: that is, it has a
dialogue with the nature that
surrounds it. It is a building,
with the strong light of Piura
and the shade that imitates
the carob trees of the
campus, it has corridors
where the air goes from
north to south.
ARCHITECTURAL
ELEMENTS

The project uses concrete for

the most part, in order to
achieve an affinity with the
context. Polished concrete
floors and wood finishes are
used for the decorations.
PROJECT OBJECTIVE
Create an atmosphere of
learning, more than proposing
an architectural form or type.
We think that the "pavilion"
configuration no longer
responds to the new
educational landscapes, so a
new approach to the program
was necessary.
PROJECT CHARACTERISTICS

Spaces that enrich learning Rational circulation in square

shape.

Sense of community, creating

undesignated spaces for Adequate natural ventilation and
students to work together underlying lighting
outside of classrooms

Bring students and teachers

Open and shaded spaces together as equals.
REFLEXTIONS

This landscape motivated us to

think about what a classroom
should be like, a building that is
not iconic but of quality. We were
inspired by a phrase by Luis Khan:
in an imaginable "zero moment",
teaching can resemble a
character under the shade of a
tree that explains something
without knowing that it is a
teacher and people learning and
discussing freely, without
knowing that they are students .

LESSONS LEARNED FOR ARCHITECTURE
The reflection about the project and the study of architecture goes mainly in
knowing the context as a fundamental part of doing architecture. To be able to
satisfy the human being is to take into account the characteristics of a place and
thus be able to generate an experience with what we create.

STUDENT: ALIAGA AUCARURI, NOHELY HARUMI

LESSONS LEARNED FOR ARCHITECTURE

The reflection on the project is that the architecture dialogues with its
environment, without taking away its prominence, but rather enriches and exalts
the forces of the place, likewise it generates spaces that connect the interior with
the exterior, giving you a feeling of freedom.
