What is Daisy Award?

DAISY is an abbreviation for Diseases Attacking the Immune System.The DAISY Foundation
was founded in January 2000 by the family of J. Patrick Barnes, who passed away at the age of
33 due to complications from ITP, an autoimmune disorder.

The Daisy Award is presented to a deserving nurse of your choosing each month or quarter,
depending on the criteria defined to reflect the purpose and values of the hospital. Anyone in the
organization, including patients, family members, other nurses, physicians, other clinicians, and
staff, may nominate a nurse who has delivered or observed exceptional compassionate care.
The Daisy Award was created to recognize the tremendous compassion nurses consistently
demonstrate toward their patients and their families.

The purpose of this award was to recognize registered nurses and nurses with advanced
degrees or advanced practice nurses who provide direct care to patients. There may be a large
number of Daisy Award nominees, but there is only one "winner." This individual is honored on
the website of the foundation.

What is Posteriori Argument? Give 3 examples

Posteriori means "from the later" or "afterwards." The posteriori argument makes use of the
human capacity for experience. To determine whether a given claim is true, it was necessary to
do a search (if it is, then you just earned a posteriori knowledge). In other words, it required
empirical evidence, which is how we often acquire information. This information is acquired
through experience.

E.g.
1. Nia's eyes are blue.
When this is said to people, they must go and see Nia to confirm if her eyes are indeed blue.

2. Ateneo de Zamboanga University has five huge buildings.

The listener must go to Ateneo to confirm that there are five huge buildings in that university.

3. Chie is tall for her age.

The listener will have to do research on what the correct height is for a certain age.

Because each statement requires confirmation or research to confirm, all of these examples will
lead to knowledge.
