Emotional: I’m working on not keeping everything to myself and entrusting in
someone.
Physical: I have a fitness plan and can’t wait until my foot heals to follow it more
regularly.
Occupational: I recently enrolled in college. I’m looking forward to this new
challenge and change In my career.
Social: I currently interact with many people daily.
Spiritual: I have a deep understanding of my beliefs.
Intellectual: I try to stay informed by reading articles, books, and statistics.
Environmental: I need to do more nature walks and use my environment to
relieve stress.
Financial: I’m aware of my financial responsibilities and I try to budget and plan
to avoid stress and unforeseen hardships.
2. What are the top three areas of the wellness wheel do you need to focus on the
most? Think about how the lack of this area may affect your decisions,
behaviors, …

3. How do you think you can improve upon these areas of wellness? That is, what
will you do to complete this comprehensive focus on your personal health!?

6. What is one “Blue Zone Approved” facility (restaurant, worksite, school, store,
etc..) ?
A community, school, or establishment that is committed and partnered for the
well-being improvement initiative and healthier choices.
7. How can you link the wellness wheel and the power nine? Maybe you could
draw a line to the related aspects of each, or highlight in a different color each
grouping, or simply type out the groupings.
10. Do you feel you have an “appreciation for health/wellness”? Explain why or why
not (and if, not, how you may be able to develop one). This should be a
paragraph of 7 or more sentences.
I appreciate health and wellness much more now after becoming aware of the
health gains and losses associated with the wellness areas I control. Becoming
educated and informed has made me more confident in tackling some of my
unhealthy habits. I have also identified the good diet, spiritual awareness, and
social habits I practice with the information I acquired. I appreciate health and
wellness much more after seeing the positive outcomes of my improvement, no
matter how small they are. Additionally, I can see how much more access to
resources is available in my environment. I’m grateful for that and will make use
of these options. I still have much work to do; however, I’m very motivated to
continue this path of exploration.
