How do we group objects?
I. PRELIMINARIES
A. Review: Compare these two pencils. Tell me the similarities and differences.
B. Focus: Classifying
C. Motivation: “I Belong Here”
Pupils divide themselves into three (3) groups and they will find their place according to
the instructions of the teacher.
D. Activating Prior Knowledge: Group the following fruits according to size and
shape.
Ask: How did I group them?

II. LESSON DEVELOPMENT


A. Presentation of Concept:
The students will group the things according to their common traits.
The students will be able to develop the value of accuracy through observing things
properly.

Pupils classify the garbage’s drawn by the teacher. They are going to separate it
according to its proper waste can picture and explain their answers.

 How do you classify objects?
 How do we identify the properties that can be used in grouping things
properly?
 How do you group the objects together?
 How do we value accuracy through observing things in classifying common
traits?
