Matter has three states, namely solid, liquid, and gas.

How do the three states of matter differ?
I. PRELIMINARIES
A. Review: What are the common characteristics of matter?
B. Focus: States of Matter
C. Motivation: Let the students place 3 objects in a box that can be found in their
lunch bag.
D. Activating Prior Knowledge:
 What are the things that you have inside your bag?
 Are they hard, soft, flowing freely like water or it has an air inside?
II. LESSON DEVELOPMENT
A. Presentation of Concept:
The students will know the three states of matter and identify the states of matter.
The students will be able to develop the value of the things around us by keeping
our surroundings clean.

Activity:
Let the pupils classify the following objects to solid, liquid and gas.
Paper, juice, water, balloon, pencil, eraser, table and cologne.

B. BROADENING OF CONCEPT
 Why do we need to know the different states of matter?
 How can we help other people by knowing the different states of matter?
