The learners in the long run and on their own will be able to demonstrate
understanding that a variety of numerical representations can be used to
describe number relationships and be able to share God’s gift of knowledge as
expression of love to others.

Comparing and ordering allow us to describe the relationship between groups
of objects or things around us.

Why compare and order whole numbers?
I. PRELIMINARIES
A. Review: What are the relational symbols used for comparing numbers?
B. Focus: Ordering Whole Numbers
C. Motivation: Activity: Organize Me
D. Activating Prior Knowledge: How do you arrange numbers from
greatest to smallest and vice versa?
II. LESSON DEVELOPMENT
A. Presentation of Concept:
The students will know the proper way of ordering numbers.
The students will be able to practice ordering of whole numbers in increasing
and decreasing order.
B. BROADENING OF CONCEPT
a. The students will be divided into 5 groups. The teacher will distribute index
cards or slips of paper with different whole numbers to each member of the
group.
b. Within 2 minutes, the students will stand up and form a line in the classroom
based on the numbers they have on their cards.
