I. OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:

3. Motivation
The students will play a game titled, “Name it to Win it.” The teacher will flash
letters and pictures on the screen, these are categorized into four set and each has two set of
words to be identified. For Set A, it consists of journalists, Set B for games, Set C for
movies, and Set D for festivals. Then the students will analyze it accordingly to get the
correct answer. The students who will get the correct answer will receive a price of worth
five pesos and it will be sent via G-Cash.

B. Presentation
The teacher will present a PowerPoint presentation about parts of a newspaper. Then
she will discuss to the students the following:
Define Newspaper
Types of Newspaper
The Sections of Newspaper
Importance of Reading Newspaper
Afterwards, the students will be tasked to answer the activities about the said topic.
C. Application
The teacher will ask the students to identify the headlines that fall to the correct
newspaper section. They will be also asked to prepare a whiteboard or bond paper, and a
marker. Afterwards, they will write down the answer and they are going to show it on the screen
to check if they will get the correct answer.

IV. EVALUATION
Identification (Google Form)
Direction: Read each news topic carefully. Identify the newspaper section of each news topic.
The students will choose one of the sections of a newspaper. In a long bond paper, they
will write a short article about their chosen section and take a photo of it. It will be submitted
next meeting, May 29, 2021 at exactly 9:00 AM.
Example:
You chose a feature section. Then, in your home you see a “taho” vendor who is
an indigent person. You took a photo of him and write a feature story about it.
