    ASSIGNMENT # 1

    Introduction to COMPUTING

    Due Date=29-10-2013

    Please read the following instructions before attempting the solution of this
    assignment.

    (i) In order to attempt this assignment you should have full command on
    first five lectures of Introduction to Computing.
    (ii) Try to make solution by yourself and protect your work from other
    students, otherwise you and the student who send same solution file as
    you will be given zero marks.
    (iii) Try to get the concepts, consolidate your concepts and ideas from these
    questions which you learn in the first five lectures.
    (iv) Also remember that you are supposed to submit your assignment in
    hardcopy form.

    Q # 1: Convert the following into Binary numbers:

    a. The last three digits of your roll number.


    b. 256

    Q # 2: Let x, y, z are Boolean variables. Determine the truth tables for the following
    Boolean expressions:

    a. (x . y) + y
    b. (x Å y) ‫ ׳‬+ w
