CHAPTER 5 NOTES

1. TO ADD A WORKSHEET FROM ANOTHER WORKBOOK JUST GO TO THE DESIRED WORKBOOK AND
CLICK ON MOVE AND COPY AND FROM THERE A DIALOGUE BOX WILL OPEN UP AND FROM THE
DROP-DOWN MENU SELECT THE WORKBOOK TO WHERE YOU WANT TO TRANSFER.

2. IF YOU HAVE THE SAME TEMPLATE FOR EVERY WORKBOOK AND YOU WANT TO ADD THE SAME
THING IN ALL OF THE WORKBOOKS AT THE SAME CELL RANGE JUST GROUP ALL THE WORKBOOKS
AND JUST TYPE WHATEVER YOU WANT TO THE SAME THING WILL BE ADDED IN THE OTHER
WORKSHEETS AS WELL.

3. IF THE USER WANTS TO COPY THE FORMAT ONLY JUST SELECT THE AREA FROM WHERE YOU
WANT TO COPY THE FORMAT AND THEN SELECT THE AREA TO WHERE YOU WANT TO APPLY THE
FORMAT.

4. IF YOU WANT TO ADD THE DATA FROM THE SECONDARY WORKBOOK TO THE PRIMARY WORKBOOK
IN SUCH A WAY THAT ANY CHANGE MADE IN THE SECONDARY WORKBOOK REFLECTS IN THE
PRIMARY WORKBOOK JUST COPY THE DATA FROM THE SECONDARY WORKBOOK AND PASTE IT AS A
LINK, WITH THIS WAY ANY CHANGE MADE IN THE SECONDARY WORKBOOK WILL BE REFLECTED IN
THE PRIMARY WORKBOOK.

5. TO ADD HYPERLINKS IN ORDER TO SHOW THE REFERENCE FOR ANOTHER CELL FROM A
DIFFERENT WORKSHEET IN THE SAME WORKBOOK JUST GO TO

>INSERT TAB>LINK>PLACE IN DCUMENTS>

TEXT TO DISPLAY- WILL BE SHOWN AS TEXT FOR THE LINK

SCREEN TIP- IF YOU WILL KEEP AN ARROW ON THE LINK IT WILL SHOW THE TEXT AS A TIP
THAT WILL THIS LINK TAKE YOU TO.

6. TO ADD EMAIL ADDRESS FOLLOW THE SAME STEPS

7. IF YOU WANT TO CHANGE THE NAME OF THE CELL FROM B7 TO WHAT EVER YOU WANT JUST GO
TO FORMULA AND NAME CAN BE CREATED THROUGH DEFINE NAMES, JUST KEEP IN MIND WHILE
APPLYING NAME THE SHEET SHOULD BE UNGROUPED.

8. THE CREATED NAME CAN BE USED AS FROMULAS AND IF YOU ARE APPLYING AS FORMULA THAN
YOU CAN DO IT EVEN WITH GROUPED SHEETS.
