Date of establishment/registration of the Trust/Society: January 20, 2015

VIF stands for the Venus International Foundation. The trust is registered under
this name and it is the full legal name.

VIF, a trust dedicated to advancing innovation and excellence for the benefit of
humanity, is a leading professional organization. It is aiming to serve academic,
research and practicing professionals those are working on the frontiers of Science
and Technology.

Education: VIF vide its Institute of Advanced Studies, helps mid carrier or working
professionals to meet their continuing education requirements and develops products
and services. VIAS follows strict guidelines and practices for awarding continuing
education and certificates of completion.

Centres: With the aim of generating new knowledge and better understanding, the centres
organizes annual meets.

 Center for Health and Medical Sciences
 Centre for Advanced Research and Design

Events: VIF conducts unique small scale international events to the appropriate targeted group
with specific objectives that are subject to applicable VIF policies and Govt. of India Taxes, in
order to provide an opportunity to meet Special Guests/Experts/Others.

Awards: The Venus International Awards (Faculty | Research | Women | Leadership) are
presented yearly during the Annual Meets and the scheme has a 'Standards' that are governed by
the Board of Trust.

bearing PAN AABTV9686L was constituted as per the Indian Trusts Act of 1882, and
registered vide a deed No. 18 of 2015 of Book IV dated January 20, 2015 with Sub
Registrar Office, Velachery, South Chennai Dist., Chennai Zone, Registration Dept.,
Govt. of Tamilnadu, India.

 VIF is regd. with Trade Marks Registry, India-600032 dt. May 27, 2015
 VIF has compliance with ISO 9001:2008 by UASL, England vide No.
QMS/02616/0615 dt. June 4, 2015

Accountability and Auditing: The VIF accounts (Books of accounts-Cash


book-Deeds-Disbursements-Vouchers-Receipts-Register of moveable or
immovable properties-Other documents or Records) are maintained regularly.
The accounts are audited every year by a Chartered Accountant as per the
Standards and VIF filing a copy of the balance sheet, income and expenditure

2nd Contemporary Academic Meet - CAM 2016

The Centre for Advanced Research and Design (CARD) of VIF organized a full day
Contemporary Academic Meet on 9th July 2016 at Green Park Chennai. It is a 2nd Meet
and was attended by 224 participants (represented 6 Country: from Scotland, Singapore,
Malaysia, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and India) those are in 'Continuous Regular
Service in Academic Institution' working in the frontiers of (i) Agricultural Sciences (ii)
Engineering (iii) Health and Medical Sciences (iv) Humanities and Social Sciences (v)
Management (vi) Science (vii) Veterinary and Animal Sciences.

The specific objectives of the Meet are the following:

 Contemporary academicians to interact with the key scientists, professors and leading
technologists with sessions on questioning and answering, vision to techno
impediments, solutions and upcoming research developments.
 To focus on the future shape of higher education, technological change and
expectations of the next generation of students.
 To bring together leading academicians and researchers to exchange and share their
experiences and research results on all aspects of Higher Education.
 To discuss the implications for university education and research, and higher education
policy.

Inaugural Session (Vijaya Hall - 9.15 to 10.15)


In the Inaugural session Dr. Vaidehi Ganesan Director-Research, VIF welcomed the
gathering, Dr. Pon. Kothandaraman, Former Vice Chancellor, University of Madras, India
delivered the presidential address. Further, Prof. Matthew Hibberd, University of Stirling,
Scotland and Prof. Ahmed Ammar, University of Dammam, Saudi Arabia are delivered the
special address.

2nd Faculty Awards - VIFA 2016

The Venus International Faculty Awards - VIFA, (is a part of CAM) celebrating teaching as
the noblest profession in the world by recognizing extraordinary teachers who have
demonstrated excellence in engaging their students in inspiring - innovative - path breaking
ways to ignite their potential. The VIFA invites nominations from candidates those are in
continuous regular service in Universities and Colleges and working in the frontiers of (i)
Agricultural Sciences (ii) Engineering (iii) Health and Medical Sciences (iv) Humanities and
Social Sciences (v) Management (vi) Science (vii) Veterinary and Animal Sciences. The
Awards are bestowed in view of recognition of their contributions, significant achievements
and excellence in their area of expertise.

The VIFA 2016 is convened by the Advanced Research and Design (CARD) of VIF and
conducted in accordance with the VIF BOARD MEETING resolution vide F. No.
VIF/MIN/BM-II/2016 held on March 16, 2016 at VIF Head Quarters.

The VIFA 2016 invited nominations F. No. VIF/CFN/FA/2016 opened on 18 March 2016
The following candidate are selected for the VIFA 2016 vide F. No. VIF/ACP/FA/2016
(AAP-II), based on the Expert Committee report and APEX Committee recommendations.

Engineering (iii) Health and Medical Sciences (iv) Humanities and Social Sciences (v)
Management (vi) Science (vii) Veterinary and Animal Sciences.

The specific objectives of the Meet are the following:

 To create opportunities to collaborate and develop a new culture to drive research,


innovation, economic activity and to form bridges among groups, and empower
innovation.
 To generate alignment as well as points of intersection between the agendas of
research, existing resources and opportunities.
 To highlight intellectual capital in order to promote improved technology transfer,
development, and commercialization of the intellectual property.

Qualified - Highly Cited Research Professionals' in the age group of 27 - 62 years who are
committed to finding solutions to the daunting challenges. The VIRA 2016 invites
nominations from eligible individuals those are in 'Continuous Regular Service in Research

The specific objectives of the Meet are the following:


 To promote women in leadership and advancement for women in the profession
 To provide enhanced opportunities for networking, and collaboration
 To inspire, engage and advance women in science and technology
