Today, I would like to introduce an amazing feature that Process / Production Order component changes allowed in SAP  ECC & S4HANA for any operations as per business
requirements.

Generally we do addition or deletion of components by going to CO02 transaction and then to component overview and do the operation. But what if we need to do it from
program level.

Problem / Pain Area: Businesses like Textile, Steel having these type of requirement while converting planned order to process order they want to change component quantities
based on resource / work center those can be fulfilled.

Also sometime due to scheduling / change in resource we need to change component / operation timing / operation resource or work-center in Process Order / Production Order.

Solution: To execute same functionality please follow below steps:

Extension of BAPI for Production / Process Order: Kindly raise ticket to SAP  to activate / extend BAPI_ALM_ORDER_MAINTAIN for your system so you can change
component / operation timing / operation resource or work-center in Process Order / Production Order: Use Note 1694267 – BAPI_ALM_ORDER_MAINTAIN not for work orders

Implementation of BAPI in SAP:

1. Create FM through SE37 or Program through SE38

2. After implementation of SAP note provided by SAP and Creation of FM or Program, implement SAP ABAP code:

PARAMETERS: FUNC_LOC TYPE BAPI_ALM_ORDER_HEADERS_I-FUNCT_LOC,

PPLANT TYPE BAPI_ALM_ORDER_HEADERS_I-PLANPLANT,
EQUIP TYPE BAPI_ALM_ORDER_HEADERS_I-EQUIPMENT,
ORDTYPE TYPE BAPI_ALM_ORDER_HEADERS_I-ORDER_TYPE,
