"THE SPIDER AND THE DEER”

=====================
Good morning judges, teachers and all my fellow friends. My name is Arfa Sumayyah binti
Mohd Adam. I am eight years old. I am from SK Sri Setia Jaya. Today, I would like to tell you
a story about “The Spider and The Deer”
One day, a spider was singing and dancing happily in the jungle.
The itsy bitsy spider
went up the water sprout.
Down came the rain,
and washed the spider out.
Out came the sun,
and dried up all the rain.
The itsy bitsy spider
went up the sprout again.

As she was walking and dancing happily, she stopped by the river bank to drink some water.
Suddenly the wind blew hard and the spider fell into the river. She thought she was going to
drown.
“HELP! HELP ME!” the spider screamed for help.
Luckily, there was a deer who rested nearby under a tree and saw what was happening. He
quickly dropped a stick on the surface of the water near the spider. The spider climbed on
the stick and was saved by the deer.
The spider said, "Thank you, my friend. I will help you one day."
A few days later, a hunter came into the jungle. He saw the deer was resting under the tree.
He took out his bow and arrow. The hunter directed his bow and arrow towards the deer.
The spider saw everything. She remembered that the deer had helped her. Quickly, the
spider bites the hunter's feet. He jumped in pain and his arrow missed the target. When the
hunter's scream of pain was heard, the deer ran away.
"Thank you, spider," said the deer.
"This time, you have helped me.
The moral value is, no act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.
Thank you.
