THE ANT AND THE DOVE

One day a thirsty ant stopped to have a drink from the river.
Im so thirsty there is the river. I must go down get to drink Said The Ant.
Just then he lost his balance and fell into the water and was washed away.
Help! Anyone help me please! Please, help me
A dove happened to be sitting in a tree nearby and saw what happened.
Oh no! The Ant was in trouble Said The Dove.
He quickly plucked a leaf off the tree and threw it down into the water next to the ant. The ant
was able to climb onto the leaf and was saved from drowning.
At that time, a hunter was seaching for a bird. He saw the dove was sitting on the tree. He had
an arrow and bow. He connected his arrow with the bow and move towards the dove, hoping
to kill it. The ant knew what he was up to.
How can I let this hunter catch the dove that saved my life? he thought.
I must do something! But how can a little ant like me save my friend from a great big man?
Then he had an idea. He hurried across the path, climbed the mans leg and then gave him a
very sharp bite.
Owwww!, Feeling the pain, the hunter missed the arrow. The dove was quick to fly away to
safety.
Thank you, dear ant, for saving my life, he called. Ill never forget your kindness!
Moral of the story : Kindness is repaid with kindness.
