The Ant and the Dove

One day, a thirsty ant went to the river to have a drink.
Whilst he was drinking, he lost his balance and fell into
the water. A dove was perched on a branch close by
and saw what happened. The dove plucked a leaf from
a tree. He let the leaf fall into the river beside the ant.
The ant climbed onto the leaf and was saved from
drowning.

Shortly afterwards, a hunter came by to set up a trap

to catch the dove. The ant knew he must do something
to save the dove. He climbed up the man’s leg and
stung him. The hunter dropped his trap in pain.
The noise startled the dove and the dove flew off.
