ABACUS-UP

(User Manual)
Academic Bank for College and University Students of Uttar Pradesh
(ABACUS-UP) is a student-centric academic service portal established
and managed by Higher Education Department of Government of
Uttar Pradesh. It paves the way for seamless student mobility
amongst and within degree-granting Higher Education Institutions
(HEIs) of U.P., through a formal system of credit recognition, credit
accumulation, credit transfer and credit redemption, with the view to
promote distributed and flexible teaching-learning.

Students can become its account holders and avail the options of
multiple exit, entry and credit transfer, thereby facilitating their
mobility across state’s HEIs. ABACUS-UP is a platform which also
provides all the information about Infrastructure, Labs, Equipments,
Sports etc. as well as the teaching faculty of any HEI to the
stakeholders so that students can explore and exercise informed
choices before admission. ABACUS-UP provides login credentials to
all the students, teachers and officials of HEIs for transparent and
smooth information sharing. This facilitates information exchange
and resource-sharing among various HEIs. The platform will be linked
to Digilocker to enable the students to download their certificate,
diploma and degree when required.

UPSHEC will login using following screen.

When Admin will do login for the first time, then he will transferred
to change password page.

2.2.1 Dashboard
In Dashboard screen, user can view count of total, approved,
rejected and pending application for Teachers and Student profile.
When UPSHEC will click on number, he will be redirected to detail of
the applications according to their type.

For example, if user will click on Approved Application of Teachers


then user will be transferred to following screen.

On click of View Form user can view detailed form of particular

2.2.2 Approval Status


Approval Status has count for approved, Rejected and Pending
application according to College Type. Screenshot for the Approval
Status is shared as follows.

2.2.3 Approval

Approval tab is divided in following 3 parts.

a) Approve data for College


b) Approve data for Teacher
c) Approve data for Login

Now we discuss about all 3 tabs.


a) Approve data for College: UPSHEC will approve data for Private
University Campus at 2nd level. Here user has 2 types of actions
Approve or Reject. Now it is mandatory to enter Remark in both
cases, after that user will submit the data.

User can view full detailed form using View Form Button. Screenshot
for the view form is as follows.

b) Approve data for Teacher: UPSHEC will approve data for Private
University Campus at 3rd level. Here user has 2 types of actions
Approve or Reject. Now it is mandatory to enter Remark in both
cases, after that user will submit the data.

c) Approve data for Login: UPSHEC will approve data for Vice
Chancellor. Here user has 2 types of actions Approve or Reject. When
user will approve data then login credential automatically created.
Now it is mandatory to enter Remark in both cases, after that user
will submit the data.

User can view full detailed form using View Form Button. Screenshot

When user will reset password then default password will be sent to
the registered mobile number of that user.

3.5.1 Registration: Nodal Officer College can register
themselves in this system using following procedure:-

NOTE- Nodal Officer College login only performs data


uploading for different colleges. Only if it gets approved by
principal of the same college and it cannot perform any data
approval also it can upload data for colleges whose data is not
uploaded by their respective principal/manager and only one
of these two authorities (either Principal/Manager or nodal
officer college) can perform data uploading and once either
one of the two authorities started uploading data then the
other one will get restricted to perform that activity anymore
for that particular college.
