“I could not belief my eyes when I opened my grade 12 results and realised that I managed to obtain a
bachelor with the minimum requirements. What next? I rushed home to share the good news. The
following day I was at the University of Johannesburg following a very long queue. I wasted a week
there hoping to be admitted. No admission. I am now studying hospitality at TVET college and the
course that I am doing is so boring. I am coaching chess and table tennis just to keep me going “
