CRITIQUE PAPER

In the Philippines, poverty is one of the most common and widely discussed issues.
Poverty has been a source of concern for many years, and it can still be seen in many
countries, particularly growing ones. People who are struggling to make ends meet see
education as a barrier rather than a solution to their problems. Wealthy people appear
to be unaware of how hard poor people work, but life is difficult for those with fewer
options. Poverty is always a major worry in many countries, so the government plays an
important role in this issue. Taxes are designed to mitigate concerns about rising
healthcare and education expenses.

In conveying her ideas on poverty, the author utilized deep words. The information she
used is refined, and she emphasizes her own opinion more, which is a plus because I
was engrossed as a reader, and the structure of her persuasive essay is pretty
appealing. In terms of organization, I'd describe it as well-organized and uneasy to
understand. The author's ideas were well-presented, however several of the words she
used were unfamiliar and deep. Nevertheless, the essay flows along well; she begins by
explaining the effects of poverty, its genuine essence, and how it came to be a burden
to individuals. The author employed a variety of claims, but I believe the claim of fact
stood out the most. The essay focused on how poverty may have a significant impact
on people. I admire the idea of the author informing and persuading the audience about
the issue of poverty. One of the characteristics of well-written material that I mentioned
earlier is organization. I was able to understand the author's main points in terms of
coherence. There are a lot of thoughts running through my head, and some of them
aren't well-articulated, but the fact that I understand her main points is excellent. There
are a few minor mechanics errors, but they have no effect on how the author
communicates and writes her essay, thus they aren't a major problem. Finally, when it
comes to the language used in persuasive texts, the approaches used are, of course,
opinions and facts, as I can attest to in the essay.

The author's primary goal is for people to understand the effect of poverty on people
and how fortunate wealthy people are. For a long time, poverty has been an issue. It
has an impact on a sizable portion of the global population today. It'll keep growing.
People will always be unable to purchase adequate food, water, and shelter, regardless
of their salary. What does it mean to be poor, and how do we define it? Poverty is
defined as "being severely impoverished”. My definition of poverty, on the other hand, is
not having enough resources to meet your fundamental requirements, such as housing,
food, clothing, water, health care, and employment. Poverty is like a sickness in that it
never stops spreading, and the consequences of this situation must be handled.
Governments must take steps to address this problem.
