GUIDELINES FOR INTER-BARANGAY BADMINTON TOURNAMENT 2023

1. ELIGIBILITY OF ENTRIES
Must be any of the following and must be able to provide proof:
 Resident of Calamba
 Registered Voter of Calamba
 Have a registered business in Calamba
 Working in Calamba
 Must be 17 years of age and above
 Final Line-Up must be submitted to CATSDD OFFICE on or before September 8,
2023, signed by the Brgy Chairman.
*No changes must be made after submission.

*TOURNAMENT WILL START SEPTEMBER 16, 2023

2. TECHNICAL COMMITTEE
 Is composed of Tournament Director, Match Control & Game Officials.
 Decision of Committee in all matters regarding Tourney shall be final.
 The organizers will be responsible for the checking of Entries.

3. RULES / COURT DUTIES

 The Tournament will be in accordance with the rules of the BWF.
 The Technical Committee shall deal with incidents not covered by rules of the
BWF.

4. EVENT CATEGORIES

-MEN’S DOUBLE A B (4PLAYERS) *minimum of 6 players (4men,2women)

-LADIES DOUBLE A (2PLAYERS) max of 12 (6 men, 4 women)

-MIX A B (4PLAYERS)

5. RULES OF COMPETITION
 Teams will be divided into groups of 4 Teams in each Bracket.
 Single Round-Robin Elimination
  Semis and Finals are knockout games.
 Winner on semi-finals will advance to finals; losing teams will battle for the 3rd.
 Drawing of lots if there are unequal brackets.
 Tie-breaker : Win over the other – in case of 3-way tie, pointing system is to be
applied. 1st rule applies after there is still a tie.
 Changes in player’s line-up will be allowed in case of emergency only.
Notification should be done 3 days before the game/proper with proof of
certification.

6. COACHING
 All events are straight 1-35 (no setting)
 Overall champion will be determined by adding total score (win over the other
will apply in case of a tie)

7. TIME-OUT / DEFAULT
 No injury time-out except for open wounds “play or retire”
 No player substitution during the game
 3 mins defaulting time.

8. RULES OF COMPETITON
 Only one minute time out is allowed during the change of ends.
 No changing of line-up or substitution once submitted. Failure means default.

9. RULES OF COMPETITION
 No protests are to be entertained once tournament has started.
