(Annual Sports Fest Of LBSIM)


General Instructions
Registrations will be done through Google forms. Registration
fee is Rs. 500 per head for offline sports . Registration fee
pretaining to online sports is mentioned in the "Online Sports"
section of the brochure.

Contingent Size should be max 40 students.

The team needs to inform about their accommodation at least 3


days prior to their visit and the amount must be deposited as
soon as team arrives/registers for the first event. A player can
participate in 3 sports at max.

The teams are expected to show true sportsmanship throughout


the tournament and any act of misconduct may lead to
cancellation of the respective team and/or the whole contingent.

All students should compulsorily bring their college/university ID


Cards and Government IDs, without which the students will not
be permitted to participate.

The sports committee reserves all the rights to change the time
and the venue of the matches. The decision of the
referees/umpires will be final and binding, no protest shall be
entertained on the field.

Spectators must follow spectator protocols for respective


sports. The prize money for the sports event might change. If
there are any changes, then it will be notified to the participants
beforehand
Lodging & Expenses
Instructions

Participants from Delhi NCR colleges/universities need to


report to the designated venues timely.

Non-Delhi NCR participants need to report to the LBSIM


campus on 29th February 2024, by 7:00 PM.

The accommodation fees will be applicable to the teams


opting for that.

Food expenses will be borne by the players only. Institutes


in New Delhi will not be provided accommodation, matches
for them will be scheduled accordingly.

Travel expenses for non Delhi-NCR teams will be borne by


the participants (from their respective cities to New Delhi).

Inter venue travelling expenses will be borne by us. This is


applicable for non Delhi-NCR participants.

The format of the tournament (Group Stage or Knockout)


will depend on the number of teams participating in the
respective sport.
OFFLINE
SPORTS
CRICKET
RULES:

10 overs per side.


Byes, overthrow is there except LBW.
The innings should be finished in 55 mins else there
will be a penalty of either deducting or adding 10
runs.
After the end of the innings, there will be a break of 5
minutes for the changeover of the players.
The match will be played by "i20" tennisball and 1
new ball is issued at the start of every innings.
Powerplay will be of 2 overs in which max of 2
players are allowed outside the inner circle and after
that maximum of 5 players are allowed.
Three bowlers can bowl maximum 2 overs and rest
can bowl 1 over each.

NOTE:
First day is for group league and the Second day is
reserved for semi-finals and finals.
Semi-finals will be of 10 overs and finals will be of 12
overs.
If there is a major injury during the match then we can
allow only one substitute.

FUTSAL
RULES:

Matches will be 6v6. Teams should comprise of


minimum 6 players. Maximum squad size allowed is
6+3 players.
Rolling substitutes are allowed.
Each match will consist of 2 halves of 10 minutes
each. Half Time break will be of 5 minutes.
For all matches, Penalty shootout will be played if
the scores are level at full-time.
There will be no offside.
Kick-ins will be taken instead of Throw-ins.
A Red card will result in the sending off of the player
for that match.
Penalty shootout will consist of 3 penalty kicks
each, followed by Sudden Death rounds of 1 penalty
each.
Keeper can be changed before the Penalty Shootout
starts and cannot be changed midway through the
shootout. Keeper can be changed for a penalty kick
during the game.
The referee’s decisions on the pitch are final.

VOLLEYBALL
RULES:

Each team should have only 6 playing members.


Rolling substitutes are allowed in the match.
Teams need to submit the names of the playing 6 (+3 substitutes) to the
Volleyball event coordinator just before each match.
Teams can have 2 time-outs per set of 1 minute each.
"On the Line" will be treated as "In"
Each match will be played in three sets of 25-25-15 points. If the game is
tied at 24- 24, or 14-14, the set continues till one team builds a two-point
lead over the other team.

Teams can end up losing a point for following reasons:


Stepping over the line while serving, if any part of the body touches the
net, double hit (when the same player hits the ball twice in succession), a
team taking more than three touches before hitting it over the net and
hitting the ball beyond the boundary line.
A ball must be released from the hand before hitting it (common mistake,
especially with underhand servers is to hit to ball without releasing the
ball. However, remember that even quarter of an inch release is enough. It
is correct as long as the ball is leaving the hand before hitting it).
Inappropriate requests and actions which delay the game are not allowed
Referee's decision would be considered the final decision.
Players are not permitted to scoop, hold, and lift or push the ball. The
ball may never be contacted with an open-hand underhanded motion

BASKETBALL
(MEN)
RULES:
Team Size should be of max 5 PLAYING MEMBERS + 3
SUBSTITUTES.
Game will be played in full court.
There will be 4 Quarters of 5 minutes each, 1 minute
break between quarters and 3 minute break on half
time.

GAME FACTOR AND TIMINGS


Matches would be played on knockout basis.
Each team will be permitted one timeout per quarter.
Unused timeouts will not carry over between quarters.
No timeout will exceed one minute in length.
Rolling substitutions with prior information to the
referees is allowed.
Final calls on violations and fouls to be solely taken by
the referees.
Official FIBA rules shall be followed.

THROWBALL
(WOMEN)
Rules:
Each team will have an active number of 6
players on the court at any point. The
maximum permissible squad size is 8.
Maximum of 2 substitutions will be allowed
per set.
All basic rules will be followed including
the ball must be thrown above shoulder,
ball must be caught with two hands and
thrown with one hand.
2 timeouts are allowed per set.
The format of the tournament and the
number of points and sets for the same
will be intimated later on.
All other standard rules of the game apply
and referee's decision will be final.

TABLE TENNIS
RULES:

A player can represent their team in a maximum of 2 categories i.e.,


1 singles and 1 doubles. Therefore, a minimum of 2 men and 2
women from each team will have to participate in a match.
A maximum team size of 3Men + 3Women is allowed.
There will only be 3 sets of 11 points and service will change after
every 2 points. In case of dues the player will have to win two
consecutive points to win the set and in case after 3 dues for a set
there will be a golden point to win the set.
The team which wins minimum of 3 categories out of the 5 will be
the winners.
Teams are expected to bring their own Table Tennis rackets.
The referee’s decision will be final and abiding.
Each team can take one time-out during the match.
Other standard TT rules apply.

BADMINTON
RULES:
Each college/ institute shall be represented by only 1 team.
Each team should have minimum 4 players or maximum 7 players.
The categories will be:
Men’s Singles (2 matches)
Women’s Singles (1 match)
Men’s Doubles (1 match)
Mixed Doubles (1 match)
Any player from a team can play in maximum 2 out of the 5
categories.
Each team has to assign their players to the categories beforehand
and
No changes will be entertained once the team sheet is given.
Match format will be: 3 sets of 15 points each for each category.
The team that wins 3 out of the 5 category matches will qualify for
the next round.
Players are supposed to carry their own racquets and non-marking
shoes.
In case of any injury or incapacity to play the game during the
game, no replacement will be allowed and if the player is not able to
continue, the opponent will be declared the winner of that match.
In event of any disagreement/conflict between the players, the final
decision made by the referee will be final and binding.
Each set of 5 category matches will be an elimination round.

RULES:
The platform will be Call of Duty Mobile.
The ones not having an account are requested to
create one
Everyone is requested to download the latest
version from the app store
Each team has to make at least a team of 4
members
Cracked games not allowed. Cheating will result
in the direct disqualification of the team
The map will always be Kill house. The game will
be set to the default rules of a competitive match.
The team that reaches 50 kills first or with the
most kills after 10 mins will win that match.

CHESS
RULES:
Preliminary round
The players will be divided in two groups and there will
be a separate tournament for group A and group B, 4
players (number may vary on the participation) from each
group qualify for further rounds. The Platform will be
Chess.com.
All players will get to play 5 rounds in the preliminary
round of the tournament .
Format for the games will be Blitz with time control of 5+0
(5 minute game with no increment)
Scoring will be : Win – 1 point , Draw - ½ point , Loss – 0
point
Pairings will be decided by chess.com ’s algorithm

Quarter Finals
Everyone will get to play 1 match
Time format will be 5+5 i.e. 5 minutes with 5 seconds
increment on every move
Top 8 will compete against each other ( number may vary
depending upon registrations ) For instance – Player 1
will compete against player 8, player 2 will compete
against player 7 and so on
In case of draw Armageddon will take place with time
odds for black Everyone will get to play 1 match in semi’s
and 3 Time format will be 10 +0 i.e. 10 minutes with no In

RULES:

EVENT DESCRIPTION:
FIFA 22/23 (Latest Edition) will be used for this event.

RULES:
Settings: Standard
Match duration: 12 minutes (6 minutes per half)
Game speed: Normal
Difficulty Level: Legendary/World Class
All matches would be in 'Friendly Match' mode.
Matches would be played with online squads.
Only Tactical Defending is allowed.
Custom formations are forbidden, only the Standard
Formations are allowed to be used.
All Matches in the knockout stage would be Single Leg.
In case of a draw, the match would be decided by Golden
Goal. (The first team that scores in extra time, wins the
match)
Participants are allowed to play with both clubs or national
teams.
Players are allowed to change their team during the
tournament.
