General:
• Has the vision to build a next-generation product/service that is
helping consumers in some way

Tasks:
• Team building, helps team to thrive
• Brings in new ideas
• Is „face“ of the company externally

Questions concerning the visionary:


• What would be the world with our product/service?
• How can we impact our customers?
• What other products/services can we offer our customers?

Qualities:
• Great communicator: able to translate compex thoughts into
bite-sized information
• Charismatic leader: motivates and empowers employees
• Imaginative: always thinking about new projects or undertakings
• Risk-taker: not afraid to try new things

CPO/COO - THE ORGANIZER

General:
• Translates the vision into reality and manages the project(s)

Tasks:
• Organizing the team by establishing roles and responsibilities,
creating internal processes
• Establishing targets, monitoring deadlines, providing roadmap,
managing finances

Questions concerning the Organizer:


• How can we work efficiently together?
• What customer pain points do we have and how can we adress them
properly?
• What problems may arise along the way?

Qualities:
• Organized: able to juggle multiple projectes, manage deadlines etc.
• Process-driven: well-documented execution process
• Efficiency: „getting things done“
• Quality driven: committed to delviering best product / service

General:
• Builds the vision into product/service

Tasks:
• Responsible for building, constructing products/services
• Leads brainstorming activities around product/services and their
functionalities and features

Questions concerning the innovator:


• How can we built an easily usable product/service
• What are customer pain points and how can we address them?

Qualities:
• Technical skilled: knows how to develop a product/service
• Problem solver: figures out ways to solve problems
• Willingness to learn: doesn‘t know everything but is able to learn new
concepts quickly
• Passionate: loves the product/service idea and wants to make it work

CMO - THE ARCHITECT

General:
• Promotes the vision, products/services to customers and knows what
customer wants, thinks, needs

Tasks:
• Responsible for getting the products/services sold
• Manages „image“ of the company
• Contacts customers if needed

• What do we want to portrait as a company?
• What customer segments are important to us?
• What marketing/sales channels do we want to use?

Qualities:
• Strategic thinker: focused on bigger picture

• Analytical: focused on facts and figures
• Curious, open-minded: wants to understand competitive landscape
and consumer insights

CFO - THE MONEY MAN

General:
• Responsible for the company's growth, forming new relationships with
companies, and creating financial processes and reporting
requirements that can be used when the company scales.

Tasks:
• Preparing budgets, monitoring expenditures, costs, and P&L
• Reviewing, analyzing, and reporting on the company's financial data
and performance
• Taking control of the financial planning and risks associated with
future goals
• Preparing documents for fundraising

Questions concerning the Architect:


• How can we optimize our capital structure?
• How do we set targets for our performance?
• What kind of controlling and reporting structure do we have?

Qualities:
• In charge of everything from legal, HR to fundraising
• Strategic thinking: A creative and visionary CFO is instrumental in
helping the organization find a path toward long-term goals
• Tech abilities: The CFO must have a strong understanding of
technology, as technology influences almost every single decision in
a modern business
