ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

The Avaya Data Warehouse provides consistent, quality analysis and reporting across multiple business units and
processes. Your work (design, develop, implement and support) will not only need to meet the existing standards but
challenge proven methodologies with new ideas to improve the data warehouse, the development team, and user
community. Team members help drive the continuous push to improve business intelligence capabilities and keep the
systems and solution current, efficient, and productive.

ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES


• Interact with business users to review requirements, propose, design, document and implement solutions.
• Accountable for the full cycle of consulting, design, data modeling, coding, testing and documentation of the
company's data warehouse.
• Translate user requirements into technical architecture vision and implementation plan. Perform hands-on
development of solutions; and supports the analysis and discovery processes.
• Responsible for providing advanced technical skills and leadership in the design, development, control, and use
of business data.
• Model and develop multidimensional data warehouse solution.
• Support and train business users on using the solution.

ABOUT THE REQUIREMENTS

EXPERIENCE

• 8-10 years of experience in designing and developing complex data warehousing solutions with thorough
understanding of data warehousing concepts & technologies such as dimensional modeling, data marts, star
schemas, facts and dimensions.
• Proven experience with requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment of Microsoft BI
Solutions (End-to-End), over multiple technologies, size and scale of projects.
• Evaluate user requests and create a design that merges the business requirements with the existing, established
data warehouse, providing a consistent, quality solution
• Support, mentor, and train peer team members

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

• Thorough understanding of the Kimball data warehouse methodology


• Microsoft Business Intelligence design and development:
o SSIS: Develop complex data transformation and script components and tasks using C# or VB.
o SSAS Design, configure and administer multidimensional cubes including, MDX calculations, actions,
security.
o SSRS: Develop parameterized/hierarchical reports using SQL and SSAS data sources.
o Knowledgeable using MDX and T-SQL to query data.
• Use source control systems (TFS, JIRA)
• Experience with SAP and associated data
• Experience with prem-to-cloud migration

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

• Flexible work hours and ability to work remotely

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION

• Bachelor degree in computer science/technology major
