About SuprDaily
Supr Daily, is a daily delivery service and pioneering the grocery revolution in India.
We leverage the power of the milk railroad to deliver eggs, bread, fruits, veggies,
and other groceries to your doorstep by 7 am, daily. We are on a quest to bring
convenience to over 100 million Indians every day. Over the next few years, we
plan to be a part of our customers’ daily lives by completely revolutionizing the
way India buys groceries. Today, we deliver milk and groceries. Tomorrow, the
potential for growth is limitless.
While Supr Daily has been around for a short period, the pace of our growth has
been incredible – from serving ~6k customers daily in the suburbs of Mumbai in
late 2018, today (in June 2021) Supr Daily is serving >210k customers daily across
6 major regions in India - Mumbai, Pune, NCR, Bangalore, Hyderabad and
Chennai. This is a tremendous ~33 times increase in the overall customer base in
a span of 2.5 years and we are embarking on another 10X journey in the next 2
years.
Supr Daily is a business unit within Swiggy with dedicated business, product,
engineering, and design teams.
About the Engineering Team
We’re a hard-working, passionate bunch who are motivated by challenging
problems, collaboration, and business impact.
We strongly believe that speed is "the" moat. We optimize for speed of learning.
That means a number of different things: how fast can you build and deploy
software, how fast you run experiments and validate hypotheses, how tight are
your feedback loops, and how good are the decisions that you can make off the
back of that.
We are part of cross-functional autonomous pods where dedicated business,
engineering (front end & back end), product, analytics, and design folks, work
together to deliver great products, blitz-scale our service, and craft a great
consumer experience. We demo our products and learnings once every 2 weeks
on Demo Days, live-streamed to the entire company.
Today (in June 2021) we are a 29 member engineering team (21 Backend and 8
Frontend), working on complex problems in storefront, logistics, warehouse
management, customer experience, growth, and category management. We are
very proud of our lean culture which directly results in every one of us operating at
the edge of our comfort zone, working on complex and high-impact problems for
the business every single day.
