Who we are:

We’re on a mission to help people enjoy their lives by doing what really matters to them, not on
errands. Every day at Mashkor we help people, merchants, and partners to explore just how simple local
shopping and couriers can be. Our data powered search engine makes it easier to find, compare and
buy/courier anything locally.
Mashkor launched in January 2019 and today has 25+ diversified talents from Europe, Middle East,
North America and South East Asia. We are growing at 60 % quarter to quarter and our goal for 2023 is
to be present in the entire GCC.

What you’ll do:

● Own technical design, development and release of Mashkor mobile apps platform backend.
● Lead a team of passionate engineers with a customer-first, fast and iterative development
mindset.
● Work with product owners, designers, and stakeholders to ensure a shared understanding of
the requirements and feasibility of proposed product features and designs.
● Ensure a high standard of code is maintained through one’s own contributions, as well as
through providing feedback to colleagues through frequent code-reviews.
● Research and integrate third-party open-source and commercial packages during the
development lifecycle. Understand the tradeoffs between available solutions and contribute
back to the open-source projects.
● Mentor/peer-with other developers, fostering a collaborative environment where each
individual can excel.

About you:

● At least 5+ years of experience in building and maintaining web applications from the scratch
using modern Javascript-based frameworks.
● Prior knowledge in building and maintaining serverless backend using technologies like firebase
and other google cloud services is a must.
● Familiarity with No-SQL and relational database technology such as Firestore, MongoDB,
PostgreSQL, MySQL is a must.
● Experience working with backend teams in defining requirements and building out data
structures and their corresponding endpoints. An in-depth understanding of RESTful APIs, and
structuring complex workflows will certainly help.
● Strong knowledge in Flutter web and mobile is a plus.
● Knowledge and professional experience with modern web-stack technologies such as React,
Angular, Vue, etc. Understanding and experience building, styling, and maintaining components
from scratch.
 ● Understanding of how to handle different criteria/constraints of client-side devices, as well as
optimizing for reduced load-times.
● Experience in leading a technical team, implementing and maintaining their workflows.
● Experience working with teams with Agile/Lean approaches.
● Understanding of CI/CD workflows, automated functional and unit testing libraries and
automated building systems.

Qualifications:

● Must have 5+ years of experience in software development.
