The project is a continuation of project no. 2 aiming to expose the student to 3D model
making in relation to design, site and anthropometry. After analyzing the principles and
elements of design of modernist architect, the students require to abstract design themes
into 2D representation in the form of a post card. This final project is to transform this 2D
theme into three-dimensional object/s that your body can inhabit. By integrating these
processes together, the project aims to introduce design in a sculptural or architectural
form, or as an identity of self. The anthropometric focus part will also allows student to get
interact and be sensitive to each body and body part. The final outcome will demand the
student to produce a visually expressive form base on their understanding of design,
process, craft, body, and the context that they are in. BAA 1116:

Each student is required to use their own body as a condition/ an armature for design. As a
result, they have to use their own body as a starting point for an exploration of the self, Lecturer: Eng Rinbo
including physical aspects and concept identity. Each student is also required to locate a site
of their own (Limkokwing campus, public park, stairway, toilet, classroom, beach, jungle,
ect…), analyzing it and document it by proved of photographs, sketches and diagrams. With
these two given exercises, each student is also required to integrate them with the design PROJECT 3: Habitat:
elements and principles that they had learnt from previous projects.
