INTRODUCTION.
Secondly, we will write the developed inventions in the United Kingdom or also
patented in this. The inventions in engineering have been of much importance por
the evolution of man and have provided us with many things from inside
businesses or just as simply of how we live our lives daily.
In engineering, it is always trying to innovate, and the of having new things that
facilitate our lives more or the doing of things inside the industry in a matter less
risky for the operators, in the new development of technology, currently in the
efficient use and productivity of the resource, it is something that as an engineer
we transform the knowledge to something practical.
Some of the inventions in the United Kingdom have been patented and have been
of great utility throughout the development industry and that of communications.
What has helped abundantly the textile industries was the sewing machine patent,
which without a doubt has helped us in this industry, on the other hand, and without
a doubt a very important part currently is the patent of the analytical computer
which has connected us currently with the whole world.
So it will be explained to them immediately in a matter more complete he who
developed each invention and what is the importance of this currently, to conclude
after with our opinion about these inventions and he who it seemed to us or what
we believe to be more useful in its time and how (repercute) nowadays

DEVELOPMENT

Pioneering inventions from the UK.

Telephone: Alexander Graham Bell is often credited with being the inventor of the
telephone since he was awarded the first successful patent. There is a controversy
surrounding the invention of the telephone. There have been court cases, books,
and articles generated about the subject. Of course, Alexander Graham Bell is the
father of the telephone. After all it was his design that was first patented, however,
he was not the first inventor to come up with the idea of a telephone.
What 's it used for?
The telephone can transmit the human voice over a large distance, therefore it
helps with communication without being too close. For example in some
companies they use the telephone to communicate with their clients to provide the
services they are given.

The sewing machine: The first possible patent connected to mechanical sewing
was a 1755 British patent issued to German Charles Weisenthal. Weisenthal was
issued a patent for a needle that was designed for a machine. However, the patent
did not describe the rest of the machine. It is unknown whether a machine existed.
Although modern sewing machine designs have proliferated in an enormous
variety, mostly for special industrial purposes, the basic operation remains

unchanged. Modern machines are commonly powered by an electric motor, but the
foot-treadle machine is still in wide use in much of the world.
What 's it used for?
Thanks to the sewing machine it makes more easier to craft clothes, in that case
the productivity at the companies which are related to are more effective and can
complete the task of creating outfits in no time

TV: Television was invented by John Logie Baird in 1923 in Hastings, England. The
images, which were initially dotted and flickering, were developed by Baird. In the
early 1930s, television began to be sold as electronic products and began to attract
a wide audience. Although the widespread use of television today is gradually
being replaced by the computer and the Internet, television is the most important
invention of the 20th and 21st centuries.
What 's it used for?
Although the television is commonly used in the house to watch your favorite
programs, it has other purposes. It's important that in some companies their goods
have to be protected, so they use the television to watch through the security
cameras that are connected. Also they can be used to do presentations in the
meeting room to show graphics about how’s it going their business.

Refrigerator: In 1755, Scottish professor William Cullen conceptualized a small

refrigerating machine. But it was only in 1856 when British journalist developed the
first practical vapor compression refrigeration system. He introduced this patent to
meat processing houses and breweries. Today 99% of households have a
refrigerator. In fact, over 100 million refrigerators are sold annually.

What 's it used for?: The refrigerator allows the modern family to keep food fresh
for longer than before. The most notable improvement is for meat and other highly
perishable wares, which needed to be refined to gain anything resembling shelf
life. Refrigeration in transit makes it possible to enjoy food from distant places.
Because of the introduction of new energy efficiency standards, refrigerators made
today are much more efficient than those made in the 1930s; they consume the
same amount of energy while being three times as large.

Stainless Steel: Stainless steel is invented by an English metallurgist. Harry

Brearley discovered the “rustless” steel when he was tasked to look for materials
that can prolong the life of gun barrels. Today, stainless steel is widely used in
surgical instruments, cutlery, turbine blades, and architectural cladding, among
others.
What 's it used for?: Due to its strength, flexibility and resistance to corrosion,
stainless steel is now commonly used in modern construction. It is used in the
exterior cladding for large high impact buildings and can be seen in the interiors too
in the form of handrails, counter tops, backsplashes and more.
Stainless steel is ideal for hygienic environments as it’s easily sterilized and
resistant to corrosion. It is used in the construction of surgical and dental
instruments, kidney dishes and operating tables, as well as other medical
equipment such as cannulas, steam sterilizers and MRI scanners.

Current inventions from the UK.

Thermos:Very practical today, invented by a Scottish scientist named James

Dewar. He was studying cryogenics, with a bottle inside a bottle, and in 1892, due
to those coincidences of life, the thermos with which we carry coffee and other hot
drinks was invented.

What 's it used for?: It is used to maintain the temperature of a fluid. They are also
used in the domestic market to keep beverages hot or cold for long periods of time
and for many purposes in industry.

The computer: The invention that no one has been able to live without in the last
20 years, the computer, used for everything. Sir Charles Babbage was the
ideologue of "Analytical Computing", and his studies theoretically put a 'machine'
that could do arithmetic operations automatically using perforated cardboard.
Although he never saw them in life, the calculating machine became real in the
1940s, just as he designed it.
What 's it used for?: Computers are used everywhere, from patient sides, medical
carts, nursing stations, laboratories and operating rooms, in all categories and jobs,
it's artefact is needed for organization and good functioning.

Light switch: A device used by every person who walks in a dark room. John
Henry Holmes invented the first safe and fast commutation in 1884 in Newcastle-
upon-Tyne. In the previous switches, the formation of an electric arc could cause
pitting or "sparks" with contact to people, apart from damaging the mechanism,
reducing the use of operation over time. The Holmes switch ensured that the
contacts would separate well quickly, lengthening their use. It is still built into most
of the light switches used today.
What 's it used for?: Commonly used in electrical panels in homes, businesses or
industries to control and protect each circuit individually. Its use is complemented
by that of differential switches.

The Mousetrap: Not as fascinating as inventing 'the internet', but useful on the
same level as the rest. Many are always trying to come up with a better thing to
catch rats, but it was James Henry Atkinson who invented the first one. In 1898, he
patented a spring-loaded mouse trap called the "Little Nipper." It is the Atkinson
design that turned out to be the most popular, the one that triggers the trap once a
mouse is put on the pedal.
What 's it used for?: A mousetrap is a specialized type of trap designed primarily
for catching mice, but it can also be used to trap other small animals. Mousetraps
are generally placed indoors, in places where there is a suspected rodent
infestation.

Internet (World Wide Web): After computers, the other great invention was the
connection between all of them. What we know as the "Internet" was invented by
Sir Tim Berners-Lee, another Briton. In March 1989, Sir Berners-Lee presented a
proposal for a more efficient communication system for CERN, but he soon
realized that it had even greater implications. In 1990, a NeXT computer was used
as the first World Wide Web server and to write the first web browser.
What 's it used for?: We use it to consult, learn, entertain ourselves; even as a
source of work. Today it is easier to communicate over the internet, send and
receive data than to make phone calls and communicate through conventional
letters. Literally the internet is used from a church office to NASA itself

CONCLUSIONS.

|Diego Quintanilla Mata 1972827 IMF:

The inventions created in the UK have allowed us to have many benefits and
comfort in these present days. It could be mentioned that some of these may have
arisen during the wars, but they were difficult moments and since no invention
would be left out, therefore they gave them new purposes and made the most of
each one.

|Víctor Manuel Sánchez Rodríguez 1970740 IMF:

This task of engineering inventions interests me a lot because it talks about

inventions that we need today in our daily lives that come from England such as
the telephone that is indispensable in these times for human beings, thermos, the
computers that are used a lot in these times quarantine, etcetera.
