Input and output devices
• Any information or data that is

computer to be processed is
considered input.
• Anything that is sent from the
computer to an internal or
external device is output.
Input devices

mouse, can send information
to the computer, but it cannot
receive information from the
computer.
Output devices
• An output device, such as a
computer monitor or
printer, can receive
information from the
computer, but it cannot send
information to the computer.
