The speaker thanks the delegates for their time to discuss Germany's position on the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Germany is concerned about the destruction caused by the conflict and the economic crisis exacerbated by rising energy prices. While Germany aims to remain neutral, it supports negotiations between Russia and Ukraine to end the war and is providing humanitarian aid. The speaker questions what will become of the Ukrainian people and economies affected by rising oil and gas costs.

Honourable chairs, fellow delegates
The delegates of Germany are extremely privileged to attend this conference and are really thankful for according us your time to deliberate this speech. We would like to share our preoccupation regarding the Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine. Germany is very concerned about the critical situation arising out of this military operation which has brought massive destruction in the waring countries and other crisis in the Europe. Germany being the biggest country in the European union it is the engine of European economy . In the present scenario the escalated prices of oil and gas has crippled the economy adversely affecting the business and industrial activities which has surged the risk of deep recessions. And this might ignite protests, widespread demonstrations against political system of the country. We are against the military operation and appeals Russia as well as Ukraine to start negotiation to end this war which has created great humanitarian crises in Europe after ww2. Therefore considering the national interest and international peace Germany has decided to take a neutral stand. Nvertheless We will be continuing to extend all humanitarian aids to the victims . we are foremost ready to facilitate any talk between the two countries in the broader interest of all the stakeholders. But still the question arises what about the Ukrainians and about their livelihood? What about the rising prices of oil and gas? THANKYOU for giving your precious time.
