There are many ways for a computer system to be upgraded. For example, updating the
software to latest version or replacing/adding hardware components to improve the
performance of your computer. Improving the system can be important because it does not
damage the system and maximize productivity.

HARDWARE IMPROVEMENT
Using outdated or damaged components can make a computer system run faster if you
upgrade your computer by adding new components or replacing old ones. Newer hardware
components offer better performance and better features than older models, so they can take
full advantage of computers and provide new features that increase usability.

INCREASE HARD DISK CAPACITY

The computer system used has very small storage space (150 GB) on the hard disk so that
additional or new hard disks can be added to computer to increase storages capacity. Adding
another hard drive is very helpful because it gives more storage space for the computer. Users
may have more programs and documents on their computer. Likewise, a large hard drive will
speed up the computer.

There are two types of hard drives that can be added to your computer internal or external. The
recommended internal hard drive is the Samsung HD 103SJ 1TB hard drive. It has two 500GB cards
which can be accessed at 7200 RPM. This drive offers high performance and lower power
consumption. Large storage capacity allows more programs and files to be stored on your computer.
This hard drive costs around $91. For external hard drives, an external Seagate 2 TB hard drive is
recommended. It can hold up to 2 terabytes of data and uses a USB 3.0 port- providing fast read and
write speeds. Hard drives are also equipped with energy management features that control energy
efficiency. The performance management system also optimizes productivity. Overall, this external

hard drive provides fast portable access to large amounts of data and can be used as a backup device
for your computer. This unit costs around $69.99.

INCREASE RAM CAPACITY
