The technicians in the world are increasing.

The work that has been done by humans are

decreasing, it is because robots. Robots are clever than us, maybe in the future robots
will take over the work that have been done humans. A very good day to the honourable
judges, we are the future innovators. We are delighted to showcase our robot. By the
way, I’m PAVIRTHAN and this is AUTONOUMOUS SEA TRANSPORTER.

Hi sir I’m SANGKARANARAYANA RAU, oil spills in ocean most often are caused by
accidents involving tankers in shipping industry. Spills can happen by equipment
breaking down problem. Oil can cause aquatic life’s die from hypothermia and also can
harm these lives. So, to overcome this problem we created an intelligent robot called
AUTONOUMOUS SEA TRANSPORTER.

Sir, my name is MOSHIGEN. So,the materials that we used to build this robot are 1
LEGO EV3 BRICK, 2 COLOUR SENSORS, 1 ULTRASONIC SENOR, 2 MOTORCYCLE
TUBES, 10W SOLAR PANEL, 1 12V SLA BATTERY, 2 MEDIUM MOTORS, 1 LARGE
MOTOR, 1 GYRO SENSORS, 4 12V WATER PUMPS and some LEGO BRICKS.

Sir, this robot works as an autonomous transporter, oil spill cleaner and an obstacles
preventer. This robot transfer cargo from point to point autonomously. It is self-
sustaining and environmentally friendly robot as well. The delivery and the pickup point
of the cargo is pre programmed in the robot. According to the program it will navigate
to the particular point spinning its propeller and turning its rudder accordingly powered
by two-medium for each. For an example from Port Klang Malaysia the cargo needs to
be delivered to Hamburg preset program. Using gyro to sense the direction the robot
will turn and navigate to the port accordingly. It also has an ultrasonic sensor to sense
obstacles along the way to avoid and continue its path.

Sir, the reasons we say our robot its environmentally friendly is because of two
reasons. First is that it has a solar panel to charge the batteries. It does not use fuel
as a source of power. Second, while it’s delivering cargo its also function as a oil spill
cleaner. It has four water pumps and filters to carry out the function. There are two
colour sensors on the robot, one on the left and one on the right. When the colour
sensor detects a change in the colour, it will automatically turn on the water pumps
which is connected to the SLA battery. The mechanism to turn on the water pump is a
large motor which spins a L brick to press the limit switch.

For future improvements we will add GPS to track the location of the robot in the sea.
We also plan to add accelerometer to measure vibration and motion to detect harsh sea
conditions to make sure the robot stops its journey until it detects a safer condition to
carryon its journey.

Thank you.
