Welcome to another one of the best days you’ve ever had.

You’ll nap, bathe, play, eat and purr your way to tomorrow.
You are a house cat. Have a great day.

Domesticat is a solo journal rpg game.

In order to play, you will need 5 four-sided dice (d4),
a pen or pencil, a journal, the included cards and chart.

Print out the 12 Catastrophe and

12 Meowvelous cards (not double sided!)
and chart (final page) .
Cut out the cards, separate and shu�e them.
Place them face down.

 Every so often, you’ve seen yourself in a mirror.
Are you striped? Spotted? Flu�y or short haired?
What color are your eyes? Do you wear boots?

What toys and treats do you enjoy the most?

Do you have a favorite spot to nap?

What does your human call you?

Add this information to your chart and

write a brief descriptive paragraph in your journal.

YOUR HUMAN
The human you live with does pesky things like sleep and
work. Determine your human’s schedule below. Track their
unavailability in the Human column on your chart.

Sleep starts at 11pm for 4 hours + 1d4

Works starts at 8am for 5 hours + 1d4

The Lovey cativity is unavailable at these times.

Write a brief description of your relationship

with your human in your journal.

 CATISTICS AND CATIVITIES
Assign a 1, 2, 3, or 4 to each of the catistics below.
You may only use each number once.

Your choices represent what parts of your day are

least important (1) and most important (4) to you.
Keep track of your catistics here and on the game chart.

You are more likely to succeed when you are rolling more dice.

Vitality eating, bathing, litter boxing 1 2 3 4

Frisky playing and being curious 1 2 3 4
Sleepy catnapping is essential 1 2 3 4
Lovey a chin scratch or belly rub 1 2 3 4

ROLLING DICE
Your day is divided into 24 hours (rounds).
Every hour, choose a cativity and record it on the chart.

To determine the success of a cativity, roll the number of d4s

equal to the number you’ve assigned.

Use the highest number rolled from all of the dice.

Write that roll in the Roll column and
keep a running total in the Score column.

For each round, or each sleep session, write a journal entry.

Keep your catistics in mind to help roleplay these entries.

3 3 points alright
4 4 points fantastic! pick up Meowvelous card

CATASTROPHES
When the result is a 1, pick up a Catastrophe card.
Each Catastrophe card adds a penalty to an upcoming cativity.
Next time you choose that cativity, eliminate the highest die from
your roll. If there is more than 1 highest die, you’ve avoided
catastrophe!

If you normally roll only 1 die for the chosen cativity,

roll one more d4 but take the lowest die as your result.

Some Catastrophes last for the entire day.

Those penalties occur every time you choose that cativity.

MEOWVELOUS!
When the result is a 4, pick up a Meowvelous card.
Each Meowvelous card adds a bonus to an upcoming cativity.
Next time you choose that cativity you roll one more d4 than you
normally do for that cativity (up to five d4s).

You may only have 1 Meowvelous card ready to be used at any

time. If you have an unused Meowvelous card and roll a 4
for your cativity, do not pick up a second card.

 NOTES ABOUT SLEEP
When you choose Sleepy, you sleep a number of hours
equal to your highest d4. Roll only once. This roll determines
the success of that sleep session.

Write the score for each round and add it to your total.
For example, if your highest d4 is a 3, you sleep for 3 rounds and
score 3 points for each of those rounds.

12 hours of your day must be spent sleeping.

MIX IT UP!
You enjoy variety, so if you repeat a cativity
without doing at least 2 di�erent cativities inbetween,
take away the highest die from that roll.
This stacks with any Catastrophe penalties
or can be negated by a Meowvelous bonus.

JOURNALING
Use your chosen cativities and die rolls
as prompts for your journal entries.
What do your failures and successes look and feel like?

Relax, enjoy and ponder your day as a cat.

 ENDING YOUR DAY
At the end of the day, check your total score. Use the chart below to
determine how you might summarize your day in your journal.

49 points and below Meowserable day

50-64 points Catisfactory day
65 points and above Purrfect day!
