• Khmer, also called Cambodian, or Kampuchean, any member of an ethnolinguistic group that
constitutes most of the population of Cambodia.
• MUSIC OF CAMBODIA
• Music is n integral part of Cambodian culture. The traditional Cambodian music has started way
back from the ancient kingdom of Khmer. The Angkor Wat shelters different musical treasures
of Cambodia such as the figures of the celestial dancers (apsara) and various musical
instruments like the pin (angular harp). The place also has craving depicting the important role
of music in Cambodia culture.
• Cambodian music, like any other music in Asian region, is known fir its unique Oriental flavor.
• Kantrum- is a genre of popular music originating among the Khmer Surin in Thailand.
