1. The vertices of a triangle are 𝐴(0,2), 𝐵(1,5), 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝐶(−1,4). Find


a) the perimeter of the triangle
b) the coordinates of D such that AD is a median of ∆𝐴𝐵𝐶.
(The median of a triangle is the line from a vertex to midpoint of
the opposite side)
c) the length of AD.

between 𝑎 and 𝑏.

8. Find the equation of the perpendicular height from (5, 3) to the line 2𝑥 − 𝑦 + 4 = 0.
Ans: 𝑥 + 2𝑦 − 11 = 0

9. The points A(1, 4) and 𝐵(5, 7) are two adjacent vertices of a parallelogram 𝐴𝐵𝐶𝐷. The point
𝐶(7, 10) is another vertex of the parallelogram. Find the equation of the side 𝐶𝐷.

b) the equation of the line through 𝐴 that is perpendicular to 𝐴𝐶.
