Aesthetic Significance

Swirls or Spirals
- having swirls or spiral shapes has been adopted and incorporated on structures as symbolization
for design growth, strength and survivability. It suites the spiral motif of the main gate of
DHVSU as the campus showcases such growth and firmness. Not only that, it is also an elegant
and graceful artistic design element of the structure.

This swirl or spiral artistic motif of the DHVSU main gate can be seen similarly to the swirls of
the San Guillermo Church in which also located at the municipality of Bacolor, Pampanga. Due
to that similarity and being on the same municipality, it can be observed that the San Guillermo
Church’s artistic motif on its façade may be one of the inspiration or on of the influence for the
development of the structure.
