LPU-MANILA VS

LPU-CAVITE
DESCRIPTION

The architecture of LPU Cavite is one of its most distinguishing aspects.

The laurel leaf-inspired buildings of LPU Cavite are set in a well-kept landscape that
includes a fully-functional koi pond and grounds with cavorting imported geese.

The Sotero H. Laurel - Academic Resource Center (SHL ARC) of Lyceum of the
Philippines University (LPU) - Manila Campus is a Spanish-era architectural and urban
character that was inaugurated in September 2022 to commemorate the university's 70th
founding anniversary. It is a Studio Mara joint project led by Interior Designer Mara Manalo
and Architect Adrianne Ong. Outside, the structure mixes in with the surrounding
institutions. The inside, on the other hand, is a welcome change from the city's historic
architecture.

The distinction between LPU-C and LPU-M is that LPU-C has a modern architectural design,
whilst LPU-M is built in accordance with the surrounding environment and history.

CONCEPT

The proportion is both applied in the lpu cavite and lpu manila buildings. First, the harmony
of the lpu cavite is visible between the Sotero building and Jose P. Building but the windows
of both said buildings in Cavite are more likely lack of correct proportion because of the
same sizes of the distance. While lpu Manila is more proportionate. What makes the LPU
Manila more proportioned is the tower, from the sizes of the distance of the space to
the sizes of its part that actually shows the contrast. When it comes to the whole building,
the golden ratio is applied which is the whole building performed with a pattern.

When it comes to the symmetry of both said buildings, it has a huge difference. If you
compare the building of lp Manila and lpu cavite, Lpu cavite has the element called
equilibrium, if your pov is in the center of the building between Sotero and JPL both
buildings are mirrored which is determined as a symmetrical balance while lpu in Manila is
asymmetrical it is formed with Fibonacci.

Every building is evaluated based on its relationship with its architectural component and its
surroundings in order to properly align with the geometry of the human body.

FORM OF STRUCTURE

The architectural product of properly conceived shape in three dimensions is mass or

volume. When different bulks are blended,
It's possible that the end outcome will be interesting and fulfilling.

LPU-C is one of the most notable unique designs of ultra-modern architecture because of
the campus's planning and landscape look, with the Coecsa Building at the back of the
landscape, whereas LPU-M is the LPU-M tower, which resembles a watch tower from the
nineteenth century.

Because of the landscape design, Lpu - Cavite has a Monumental size, which you can also
establish by using a general scale, such as:

The Sotero building has four stories and one roof deck. You can tell how many sotero
floors there are.

Because of the substantial structure of the building, Lpu - Manila also has a Monumental
scale; you can also tell how many floors Lpu manila has.

DESIGN OF ELEVATION

The lpu manila has unaccented rhythm due to its equally spaced windows introduced on the
unbroken and then regular repetition is there. The rhythm between the lpu mani.a and lpu
cavite is determined by the colors and shapes of the buildings. While the LPU Cavite
buildings have guided and controlled structured movement built into their form and
philosophy. The eye recognizes the significance of this relationship and pauses longer to
reflect on the major features in both the lpu manila and cavite structures' openings and
details, which are placed so that some are more essential than others.

The harmony of the two buildings that make up the LPU in Manila and Cavite is one of the
factors that contributes to each one's unique dualism, which is when there are two
opposing forces that are strong and in conflict with one another and that create chaos
and abundance. Together, all the components created a tight, cohesive ensemble. The
principal building masses of each university dominated the less significant ones, creating a
dominant motif that draws the eye of the viewer to its focal point. An architectural
arrangement's disparate components are brought into suitable relationship with one another
so that the desired composition can be created.

The character has been shown in both buildings; generally when building a school, a lot of
windows are installed and it is because windows are the provider in order for the side light
to enter a room and also for a good ambiance which may help the student to focus
because of the relaxing views.
