You  have  already  been  working  on  musical  elements.  

5.1.  Try  to  guess  what  element  the  definition  belongs  to.  

5.2.  Compare  your  answers  with  your  partner  and  try  to  write  the  four  missing  definitions.  

MUSICAL  ELEMENTS   DEFINITIONS  

This   describes   the   “feeling”;   the   mood   of   the   music;  

 
created  with  the  contrast  of  volume,  emphasis,  energy  
 
etc.  

  This   is   created   by   the   combination   of   sounds   and  

  pauses.  It  is  also  called  the  beat.  e.  g.  drumming.  

 
This  organises  the  song.  E.g.  verse-­‐chorus-­‐verse-­‐chorus.  
 

  This   is   when   two   or   more   notes   sound   good   together  

  when  played  or  sung  at  the  same  time.
