ACTIVITY PROPOSAL
AMOUNT REQUESTED:
I. RATIONALE:
The Lorenzo Latawan National High School, Cluster XIII shall be conducting the annual
implementation of the Brigada Eskwela on August 14-19, 2023 with the theme “Bayanihan Para sa
MATATAG na Paaralan.”
The Brigada Eskwela is a Department of Education (DepEd) initiative under the Adopt-A-School Program
that calls for the engagement and collaboration of various DepEd personnel and stakeholders, such as,
but not limited to students, teachers, school officials, individuals, parents, community members, local
government officials, non-government organizations, religious groups, and other private sectors for
school readiness in the opening of classes.
To mark the start of the implementation, the School’s Kick-off Program shall be held on August 14,
2023, and advocacy activities after the kick-off program starting August 8–11, 2023 to launch and
campaign for the Brigada Eskwela.
For this year’s Brigada Eskwela implementation, the Department provides a clear implementing
guideline towards and sustain partnership engagement activities imbibing the BAYANIHAN spirit, and
aligned with the components of the MA-TA-TA-G Agenda for an inclusive and child-friendly learning
environment.

Activity Rationale:
To anchor the preparedness of the 2023 Brigada Eskwela, this year’s Brigada Eskwela project
which is the Establishment / Enhancement of the Safe Space Child Protection Area for
Learner, is the Learner Rights and Protection Office’ (LRPO) mechanism of psychological first
aid to distress learners.
Partnership to both agencies becomes inviolable due to its common adherence to support the
MA-TA-TA-G agenda which pillars are logically corresponding to the program, activities or
projects of the stakeholders redounded to the benefit and interest of our learners.
Objectives:
a. Sustain partnership with the local government unit (LGU), non-government
organizations (NGOs) and private partners;
b. Establish/Enhance a safe space child protection area for learners;
c. Sustain a functional child protection committee; and
d. Harmonize gender and development guidelines (HGDG) on the conduct of the said
activity.
Expected Output:
One (1) Newsletter covering the Narrative Report
One (1) Forged Memorandum of Agreement (MOA),
One (1) Deed of Donation/Acceptance (DOD/DOA)
One (1) HGDG Checklist (GAD Mechanism)
Methodology:
- Conduct orientation on the complete staff work of the 2023 Brigada Eskwela activities thru
(Virtual or face-to-face) platform on August 7, 2023
-Service Credits will be given to those teachers will serve during brigada
