1. DepEd Order No. 021-S-2023 provides the Brigada Eskwela Implementing guidelines the school
maintenance program that engages all education stakeholders to contribute their time, effort and
resources in ensuring that all public school are all set in time of class opening.
3. Expense s incurred relative to the conduct of the said planning conference will be charge
against PTA, SEF or MOOE fund subject to the usual COA accounting and auditing rules and
regulations.

VI. OBJECTIVE *To prepare the school personnel, parents, and stake
holders in the school for the opening of classes
*To re-orient parents and stake holders on the preparation
of the First Day of Classes .

Description:
As stipulated by DO no. 021 series of 2023, The Brigada Eskwela is a nationwide
school maintenance program that engages all education stakeholders to contribute their time,
efforts, and resources in ensuring that public schools are all set in time for class opening. It is
a six-day event where local communities, parents, alumni, civic groups, local businesses,
non-government organizations (NGOs), private individuals, and even teachers and students
volunteer their time and skills for the conduct of lean-ups, minor or medium repairs, and
maintenance work in classrooms and within the school site.
Objectives:
The activity aims to:
Spearhead the implementation of school preparedness activities.
Create the Brigada Eskwela Task Force.
Identify relevant Brigada Eskwela activities aligned to SIP.
Ensure the conduct of Brigada Eskwela activities.
Submit resources generated and volunteers to the DPDS.
Provide updates to partners/stakeholders on the status of the spearheaded projects.
Initiate innovations that will improve the performance level of teachers and learners.
Highlights:
The school was luckily offered with manual assistance from the Department of
Engineering, 3rd LED. Two workers from the DE maintenance group were sent to the school
to conduct thorough brush-cutting of the entire school grounds. The Municipal Environment
and Natural Resources (MENRO) also offered Tree Plantng, parents and guardians also
actively rendered their voluntary services in realizing the objectives of the Brigada Eskwela
2023.
Feedback:
Teachers – Male adult volunteers could have handled the heavy workload
more effectively.
Parents – Volunteer hours for 6 days are better served in one setting.
Audience Participation:
The activity garnered 100% participation from all the expected individuals.
