Mr.& Mrs Genelito Avanzado

Dear Partners:

The Department of Education (DepEd), in its commitment to ensure that education must
continue amidst the challenges and uncertainties brought by COVID 19, shall formally open
on September 13, 2021. In preparation thereof, the Brigada Eskwela Program shall be
implemented from August 3-September 30, 2021 with the theme: “Bayanihan Para sa
Paaralan”. The activities focus on collaboration and strengthening partnership engagements
that compliment DepEd’s efforts to implement the Basic Education- Learning Continuity
Plan (BE-LCP) through a new program called BRIGADA PAGBASA. This is an after school
program that envisions to bring together education partners and experts to help all learners
read and functionally literate. This will serve as platform to synergize efforts and resources to
address education challenges especially on literacy and numeracy and create opportunities to
all stakeholders to contribute possible solutions to the current gaps in the country’s education
system. In this, may I invite you to become a volunteer or to sponsor a volunteer in the
conduct of Brigada Eskwela 2021.

Physical cleaning and disinfection of classrooms may be done 2 weeks before the opening of
classes. Aside from these, the schools are in need of the following:

a) Support to the Brigada sa Pagbasa through sponsorship of snacks, transportation, and

other needs of volunteers to conduct remedial reading to the target learners.
