NARRATIVE REPORT

An annual nationwide project in the country called Brigada Eskwela strives to get schools ready for the
coming school year. This activity promotes community participation in maintaining, enhancing, and cleaning the
schools. I'm happy to give an overview of the Brigada Eskwela activities we carried out at Balanga Elementary
School from August 14 to August 18, 2023.

Day 1: August 14, 2023 - Planning and Kick-Off

An excited group of volunteers, including parents, teachers, students, and community members, arrived on
the first day of our Brigada Eskwela. We kicked things off with a mini program, a quick orientation that focused
on the significance of the event and safety procedures.
We divided up tasks into teams throughout the planning stage, including cleaning classrooms, fixing
furniture, painting walls, and gardening. This day was mostly used to evaluate the job that needed to be done and
obtain the necessary supplies.

Day 2: August 15, 2023 - Maintenance and Repairs

Our volunteers started working on the second day. The floors of the classrooms were swept and mopped,
and the windows were cleaned in detail. In order to give our pupils a comfortable learning environment, we
repaired broken desks and chairs. In addition, the school's grounds were swept and made ready for landscaping.
Day 3: August 16, 2023 - Beautification and Painting

Painting and landscaping were the focus of the third day. Volunteers cleaned the classroom walls, which
not only gave it a new look but also made the space more welcoming for pupils. We also pull unnecessary weeds
surrounding the plants and trimmed the shrubs to our mini gulayan, which improved the looks overall.

Day 4: August 17, 2023 - Organization and Final touches

We worked on the finishing touches as the event's concluding day approached. All work that has been
done so far was looked over by volunteers to make sure everything is in order. For the start of the new academic
year, we prepared educational resources, organized classrooms, and sorted books. The volunteers had a wonderful
sense of togetherness.

Day 5: August 18, 2023 - Closing Ceremonies

A short program to recognize the effort and commitment of our volunteers kicked off Brigada Eskwela's
final day. We showed our appreciation to the community members—including the parents, students, and other
stakeholders—who gave their time and resources. The concluding ceremony highlighted the value of community
involvement in education by bringing in local authorities and school administrators.

Brigada Eskwela 2023 at Balanga Elementary School was an incredible success thanks to the communities and our
volunteers' unwavering dedication and support. Together, we improved the setting in which the children learned as they
started their academic journey. This yearly practice enhances the school's physical facilities while also creating a sense of
pride and belonging in our school. We believe it will have a favorable effect on the pupils in the upcoming academic year.
